Hyper Prostaff 5.0

you like super stiff racquets? Just get one of the many varieties of rocket launchers from Babolat.

On a serious note, the closest is probably 6.1 classic, both are stiff as hell

Don't think you can find a modern, super stiff 12.5 oz racquet these days. The elbow and shoulder damage done by the PS Hyper 5.0 and its brethren seems to have kllled this category.

I'm playing with the HPS 5.0s balanced (13.3 oz. / 10 points HL) now and have had a hard time finding anything newer that i really feel comfortable playing with as well. I really enjoyed the solid plow through feel of the 5.0s but have for the last year or so been looking to tame the power a bit. The modern rackets that I have found playable are:

Prince Diablo XP MP
(smaller sweetspot, more balance response overall than the HPS 5.0, if it wasn't so ugly i might have swithed, japanese site has it in a decent paintjob)

Bablolat Pure Drive+ Roddick
(slightly less control, more powerful, larger sweetspot than the HPS 5.0)

ncode 6.1 95 16x18
(slightly less power, slightly more spin than the HPS 5.0)

Prince Shark MP Std
(slightly more control, slightly less spin than the HPS5.0)

The number os the HPS 5.0 are hard to match these days but those are the rackets i've found to have similar playability.

Pretty correct statement. My elbow remebers very well 6 yrs playing with PS Classic 6.1 and 5 yrs with HPS 5.0. Even if these are good sticks, I do not think anyone need to play with such "a board". Due to arm/elbow reasons, players should start playing with flexy sticks and slowly increase stiffness, if preferred, imo 65-66 is maximum. Also, 18x20 pattern provides "stiff and controlled" feel in less stiff sticks.
