Wilson Hyper Prostaff 5.0 Replacement?

I need to replace my Wilson Hyper Prostaff 5.0 - what are some recommended alternatives?

Something in the Prostaff 6.1 family from Wilson should be at least a little similar, but that HPS 5.0 was an extremely stiff racquet I think. If you need that extra backbone in your frame, you may want to try one or two from Babolat.

If I remember right, the Surge line came from the 5.0 line. I can't believe you've played with that racket this long and still have an elbow attached to your arm (though I thought the racket performed well other than being so harsh on the arm).

I've played off-and-on the past several years (hence, why I still have an elbow); now that I am able to start playing full time I realize I should upgrade to the current technology. I like the solid feel and power I get from the weight of the racket, but do find it harsh physically (especially on the shoulder).

I would agree with this. The HPS 6.1 in particular would probably be the closest match.

If you are willing to look in to Yonex I'd suggest the RDS 001 MP, RDS 002 TOUR, Ultimum RD Ti-80. The swing weight varies by grip size for the last two.
