That third set was nerve-racking. I almost went to watch something else at one point. Cam had to be kicking himself all the way home and in his sleep.
Too bad Gasquet didn't practise his Haka. But that Haka is the best awards ceremony I've ever seen.

A little career inflation for Richard. He can stick around as long as he's healthy. Even Gasquet has a shot against literally all of the kids. Love me some swashbuckling tennis with flair. I wish he had had enough to make more headway against the Big 3.

Congrats to Gasquet! This also shows that we are in the weakest era of tennis. An old Gasquet who’s way out of his prime beat Norrie who’s in his prime, way younger, and up 3-0 with 0-40 bps for 4-0 double break.

I am not a huge fan, but I mentioned a few times last years he looked to be playing some of his best tennis. Just a consistent grind and no real easy exits. I think he can roll through a few lower ranked tourneys and give these gives some heartburn still.

LOL it doesn't look good, I admit that. However, I saw Gasquets match vs Humbert with a couple of hours delay since they played in the middle of the night from where i live. I wrote my post sometime in a changeover early in the first set and I had absolutely no knowledge bout the outcome of the match and wasn't thinking they had ended it. So I do think it was a good try... All my apologies for any confusion I may have created here.
