Today I won my first match in two chances. It was a doubles match. The other team in this match was overall more formidable than my opponents in the first match, but My partner and I didn't play all that well. I carried us through the first set, which we won 6-3 and my partner played very well in the second set and tie breaker. (3/6 and 8/6).
I seem get rusty late in doubles matches, probably because you can go a few points or even a game without being tested and my strokes become less reliable. This is probably because I've only been playing for a short time and the strokes are not as ingrained in my muscle memory as they would be if I hadn't just picked up the game.
One thing I struggled with, were overhead shots. I think I hit the net in like 3/5 chances.
And another thing I noticed is that oddly enough I had more fun in my first match, which we lost. I think it had something to do with the fact that we won our first two games and imediately the pressure was on to continue playing at that level and to win.
