Any of you IL guys played in Hanover Park District indoor courts?

During the warm months, I play mostly in Medinah courts and Friendship park in Arlington Heights i think on Algonquin Rd and Rte 83 :)

No questions about the Hanover Park club. I play there on the weekends. I did play in Medinah courts outside yesterday. It was very interesting to play tennis when there is ice behind the baseline ;)

Yesterday I played on a carpet court for the first time. All I can say is wow that was a different experience. This was in Naperville Tennis Club. It was definatelly slower than the hard courts that I am used to, the ball seems to bounce really high and I never hit so many top spin serves that were unreturnable. Very good and comfortable on the feet. Ball had allmost no sound when bouncing from the court. I liked it :)

I played a doubles tourny there like a few months ago lol..that was my first time on carpet too..so weird! Def easy on the knees but the ball just skids and i prefer hardcourts better still :)

I am going to play at Medinah park district (outside) this Thursday with my usual tennis partner. It is suppose to be in the 50s.

I played both saturday and sunday in the morning. Started out cold but then started to strip off the layers and played with shorts and longsleve t-shirt at the end. Love playing outside a lot more than in the incubator :)

thats for sure lol...i was out both days as well in the afternoon so i just had shorts and a T...love playing outside a lot more than indoors as well :cool:

I've been known to drive far from Elgin like Highland Park, Evanston or Winnetka just to play some tournaments.

i wish i found this thread sooner! i wondered why nobody was responding in the odds and ends section!

i live in park ridge and am desperate to play tennis this summer. i had a membership at RTTC but opted to not renew this year.

there are 8 beautiful lit courts near my place but i would drive as well. would anyone be willing to hit with me this summer? i really want to be able to play numerous times per week. i am 4.5-5 former junior and college player. i think i already emailed Mario.....

Darn it, I just realized I will probably be the worst one out of Super Mario, SOY, and tennisguy!!!

I guess I have to be #4 seed and dress like murray......hmmm i do use a radical.

Haha yeah right!

You get 3rd in state the same year I can't even get past first round of Sectionals...... and now you do the ITF circuit and qualies while I sit at home all day and play video games!


Maybe if Mario ate a poison mushroom the day before.........

haha too funny...ya never knowww....i didnt do too well at the ITF circuit though...well see how this summer goes :)

That's great! I'll take my gear and contact you when I arrive! BTW, I see from your signature that your're using the new KPS88. I've been playing with stock K90s for the last 1 1/2 year and am really happy with them... however I'm curious about the KPS88 and if it's better enough (for me, playing mostly on clay) to justify a change, guess I'll have to test a demo soon.

Come on!!!! I'm an engineer, and during my studies never gave up playing tennis! Elguin is pretty close to Schaumburg... the company I work for has a support center there. If you can make some time in April let me know!

Well, here in Buenos Aires I can easily sell it for aprox USD140, since these player's frames are even harder to find here than in the states.

I can take the racquet to Schaumburg in mid April so you save the shipping, if you make an offer that justifies this effort.

Yeah for sure, but I actually have two of them so I am already pretty used to it, I was just looking for a third for another spare, but I will wait awhile until I actually need it before I splurge.
