I just wanted to confirm the address for Pioneer Park.

410 N. Arlington Heights Road

It's about an hour away from me, but I don't mind making the drive at all. Anyone else going to be there this week? I can show up in the early afternoons to evenings.

I know one of the main streets its on is Grove Rd or Ln....idk the other one that surrounds it but the main street its off of is New Wilke Rd. if that helps.

Thanks! I think I found it now.

500 S. Fernandez Ave.

I did a mapquest map, and the 4 streets I see surrounding the park are Fairview, Kennicott & Grove.

Anyone planning on playing sometime this week? I'll be there early afternoons to evenings. I'm turning into a tennis junkie again.

Couldn't make it tonight as the Del Potro/Federer final ran late. One heck of a match to watch though! Will most likely be there tomorrow (Tuesday). I'll keep an eye out for you Supermario!

I got a chance to check out the courts today. Pretty good courts and lights. I think I saw you there Supermario (playing dubs?), but not sure. I got to hit for a few, but mostly just got to practice serves. It felt good to be back on a tennis court.

Im more of a singles player...I can do most of my damage at the baseline, not really into doubles anymore bc the points are so fast.

I play on the Lincoln-Way East team for anyone who is in HS.

And I go to some courts in Mokena that have good lights.

Hey guys, I'm currently in the Schaumburg area. I'm approx 4.5-5, better in clay than hard court, as I usually play in Argentina. If anyone is interested in playing let me know!

ps Supermario I just sent you an email, let me know if you're available!

Well....futures tournaments are where many D1 or players trying to make a name for themselves play. The competition is fierce and intense imo, a lot of great ranked players. In order to register for them, you have to sign up for an IPIN and register an account there...the fee is $45 to register for that and its a yearly fee if you do it. Then you search tournaments you are interested in playing and you register for it. Keep updated for the status though whether you're going to play or not bc sometimes it fills up and you placed as an alternate. In that case, I would recommend not even showing up and paying. If you do get accepted, go to the site with all the details and that's where you pay the $30/$40 whatever to actually play in the tourny. Its single elimination so good luck. Have anymore questions, go to the ITF website :)

Anywhere to hit?

Any 4.0s or 4.5s that play around the Naperville/Lisle/Warrenville area? I'm here on business all week and looking to hit some tennis.

I am traveling to chicago for Christmas to visit my brother. but i maybe too high of level for you guys.....

I don't know if you're kidding or not, but I'm quite a highly ranked junior. Without trying to be rude, I'd be shocked if you got more than two games in a set off me.

wow

finally found this thread after going all summer with no tennis. wth...

either way i used to play low level college tennis. haven't played in 3 years just getting back into it. bum shoulder so i have a built in excuse. i'm near park ridge actually. i've played everywhere from highland park, RTTC, i'm clost to alot of places.

i remember the ballys near u of c used to do drop ins where you paid per lesson. anyone know any clubs that do that? or have drop ins anymore? i know highland park does on sunday nights but its not really convenient for me.

oh yeah i'm 27 and if i have to pick something i'll say 3.5 of 4.0 cuz of rust or i'm just that bad.

supermario,

You probably know this, but I have a question about money prize Can you accept money prize in Open tournaments/still be non-pro player? I know if you play high school/college you can not accept money prize, b/c if you do you are consider a pro tennis player(I heard only the coach can accpet the money) according to the USTA. Thank you

Any 4.5s at Humboldt Park?

I'll be in Chicago on business for 4 weeks (Starting 6/7). Any 4.5s want to hit singles or set up some doubles out at Humboldt Park? I've played there a few times and the court and lights have been great.
