Is Federer using Retail Vapor 9 in Melbourne?

Sadly, they are not. We can't buy the actual wristbands that Rafa, Fed, and other Nike sponsored players wear. They don't sell them. Last I checked, the socks used by Rafa are higher in cotton percentage than retail socks as well. Haha!

Sadly, they are not. We can't buy the actual wristbands that Rafa, Fed, and other Nike sponsored players wear. They don't sell them. Last I checked, the socks used by Rafa are higher in cotton percentage than retail socks as well. Haha!

That would not surprise me. Fed also has special air blown into his Zoom Air Custom V9, air captured from the highest point on the Matterhorn which is then further purified and stored for use in his shoes only. It's lighter air than any one else has, therefore making him move faster on the court.

I think Tomic is probably wearing the retail Vapor 9, although I haven't seen close up pictures. His shoes have looked great during the Open so far.
