I wonder what "clash technology" means. I know the paint jobs are similar, but does that mean the new blades will have a really low RA.
Any initial impressions you can provide? Like weight/balance changes? paint texture? any difference in beam thickness and/or shape?Just got my new Blade 98s 18x20 and 16x19. They integrated the Clash technology into them and cant wait to hit them today. Reviews coming.
Are you paying for his lawsuit? HahaHello

lmao a lawsuit.....Are you paying for his lawsuit? Haha
lmao a lawsuit.....
Yeah they get really upset if I sell them even a day earlier than the advertised release date! 6/15 for the 3 new Clash frames and 8/15 for the 4 new BladesI think he is implying that an NDA or embargo was required in order to get the frames early. OP, is that the case?

That seems to be the case.I just hope they are more HL than the CV versions. Like at least 6pts.
What will be then difference to PS line. Are the used materials so different ?I just hope they are more HL than the CV versions. Like at least 6pts.
typically its more of a verbal agreement from the reps to the clubs to not post pictures until its time for releaseI think he is implying that an NDA or embargo was required in order to get the frames early. OP, is that the case?
Well beam shape and thickness, head size, and depending on what they do with the pro staff update the clash technology. What will be then difference to PS line. Are the used materials so different ?

Interesting that Wilson went with more headlight approach on the new blade... that sort of goes against the dna of the blade and may deter people like myself and others who like the blade for it's stock heft in the hoop and swingweight. Did the swingweight of the new blade feel lower?I hit the 18x20 this weekend. Very different, much softer and more headlight! More dwell time. I strung with a thin string since it's an 18x20 so I went with Solstice Power 18 at 30 lbs. It's a great frame and beautiful cosmetics.
blade's biggest strength was control (especially directional)... the key is whether control is the main feature of the racquet still. any thoughts there?I hit the 18x20 this weekend. Just an FYI, the OP doesn’t actually have the new Blades, so I doubt there will be a comparison. I’m sure TW will do a playtest soon of the Clash 98, and that should give some idea of that technology in a 98” frameany comparison between the actual clash and the blade with "clash technology"?
tried the clash regular and tour and wasn't quite impressed, based on reported vibration frequency and flex i should've loved it but actual hitting didn't feel "that" -soft-
but i'm a big fan of the 2015 blades, didn't like the cv blades too much even though i love dead/muted set ups

If it’s a head light racquet (6 pts or more) and super flexy the line would have deviated from what it’s always been. Make a new line if you’re going to radically change them.
I have strung 3 of the new Blades.
For the Wilson rep with Wilson Sensation 16g at 55lbs. More to be strung shortly with other setups! For your own testing or for someone else? With what string and at what tension?

Fortunately they couldn't release a racquet called the Wilson Countervail; agree that they are creating a clash of nomenclatures.it raises another question though, if it is true that the new blade will have the so called "clash technology", doesn't it just make it very confusing?
the way i understand the "clash" concept is that it's somewhat similar to the youtek, except to a higher level
if wilson intends to "infuse" this clash technology onto their existing lines, why didn't they just introduce this as a new gen material? ie) adding countervail to all their lines, now they can do clash blades, clash pro staves, clash ultras, etc
they released clash as a racquet line... having a blade with clash technology is like having a pro staff blade or a prestige radical?
