I was thinking of my rookie hitting friend, 5' 8" and 40-50lbs overweight ... and somehow still pretty fast. His ttw roi would not be worth it.

Your mechanics look sound. The next step is introducing movement to your game. Work on balls that pull you wide, short or back, high and low, and try to maintain your form. It's being able to react to the ball and execute under duress that will start to move your game beyond cooperative practice session hitting to match-readiness.

Yes ur right, we did some deep ball practice yesterday actuslly.
Your right that hitting a ball thats towards you well, strong with pace spin and placement is a whole different thing than a deep high loop ball or a ball on the run you have to hit while sprinting etc
Loads of depth in each shot, not only about learning to hit decent with a ball at you!

And stop asking for advice on the board. Your coach is in a far better position to give you input/feedback and I’m sure she has a methodology in trying to teach you via progressions.Lol ur always going to hold that over my head huh

lol. EVERY video posted is an advice thread! Hell, I remember back years ago when I was just a lurker on my old account @J011yroger posted when he was probably 4.0 and people grilled him on his technique, claimed he sped up the video or something, and all kinds of mayhem. And pretty much EVERY video is like that. The good news is, some of it is useful. The bad news is, a lot of it is stuff you already know and are working on. Then there is also bad advice or digression.

He may have been 4.5 at the time, but it was maybe 10 years ago or such. I just remember I had picked up tennis and was lurking around and there were a few posters that were doing video and active with posts at the time. I think that was one of the first threads I saw. lol.

I've had my own TV show, my own production company, and do design work, so criticism doesn't bother me. Honestly, what I hoped for has happened and I've found some good value in in responses...well, and a ****e load of comedy.
