Kick Serve going long

I have been double faulting a lot because my kick serve keeps going long (It has reasonable kick but just a bit long).
Even if I get the kick serve in, it is always very close to the end of service box line.
I have seen folks doing 2nd serve consistently around the middle of service box..
Any tips to get my kick serve in

With the kick serve, I am always thinking about swinging up (*Not Out*) and sideways as hard as I can. If you are hitting long, I would guess you are getting too much forward contact and not enough brushing. Try to swing entirely along the plane of the baseline to get the feeling of only brusing and not hitting the ball.

Try tossing just slightly more in front of where your current toss is.

Great advice...op, where do you usually toss your kick serve? On the button of your hat? (pretend you are wearing one if you don't wear a hat). My kicks were going long, and I was tossing as if I wanted the ball to hit the button of my hat; and just a slight forward toss helped.

Whatever you do, aim lower over the net. If you're aiming 3' above the netcord now, aim 2.5' above the netcord.

The basic rule of thumb I was taught in my youth is if your serve is consistently going long you're not getting up to them/letting the ball drop too much.

This advice has served (no pun intended) me well for many years.

If you can't hit EXACTLY where you wanted, your service motion is completely wrong. Don't kid yourself.

How far long are we talking about? If you are aiming deep in the box and we are talking about a foot long or less that can be fixed with a few adjustments into a pretty nice serve. If you are aiming at the middle of the box and it's going 3 feet long then you have problems.

Not sure why you want to hit the middle of the service box. Depth is your friend. Unless you have seriously heavy serve, a topspin or kick serve that hits in the middle of the service box is just giving the returner a sitter he can attack. If you are wild on your serves I'd recommend going back to basics and breaking it down - are you off balance, hitch in your swing, is your toss inconsistent. If you've got a precise, consistent serve you can aim at the service line and rely on spin to bring it down safely inside.

Every post advising a physical cure points back to your problem....you hit too high over the net.
HIT LOWER.

Thank you all for the suggestion!!
Took the suggestion to the court & practiced 2nd serve only for an hours for last 3 days, I feel good about it but need to see if i can execute in match situation
Especially these 2 recommendation helped me
  1. too much forward contact with little brushing
  2. Let the ball drop before swinging
