Kick serve

I can hit a topspin serve that kicks straight up, but I am having trouble hitting a serve that will kick to the right ( I am right handed). Any tips?

that's a very difficult serve, and if you could master it, then it would just be the best weapon you could have. most people call that kind of serve the twist, so you could try searching on google for that term, and many links will show up.

You have to prontate your hand on contact almost straight out to the right. See how Federer does it here:

You need to brush up at out on the ball. (7 to 1 o clock or 8 to 2 o clock)

Start by tossing the ball farther behind your head while trying to hit the same regular topspin serve. I find that I accidentally hit a twist serve when going for a topspin serve if I get the toss a little too much behind me. Letting it drop a little bit lower may also help to generate this spin. It may be beneficial if you're having trouble to think of it as though the ball is at the tip of the racket through the whole motion and you are trying to throw it off of the racket forward and to the right (towards about 1:00 or 1:30 if you're in the middle of a clock).
