Klippermate and poly

I was thinking of getting either a klippermate (love the price and customer service) or the SP swing (probably higher quality) and will probably string a bunch of poly/gut hybrids (very popular among the team) but have heard poly is hard to string on a klippermate. Can anyone confirm this?

Poly is a bit harder to string on a drop weight in general because the string is so stiff there is less room for error in allowing the proper amount of slack in the string when you wrap the string around the drum and start the pull. The Klippermate exaserbates this issue because when you want to adjust the slack you have to release the string from the cam gripper. You don't have a clutch to allow you to release the arm independent of the drum so that you can give more or less slack without releasing the string. Most Klippermate users say that they get used to this after a while and it is no big deal, but it is harder for beginners, no question, I've done it. Some users have also complained about the Klippermate's gripper kinking poly strings.

so you did the full poly job on a klippermate or SP swing?
Check his sig he has a SP Swing.

I have done poly on a SP Swing. It takes a couple more pulls or you have to prestretch, but it really is not that difficult.

And PS- Don't drop the dropweight. Slowly lower it. (Don't ask me how I know, but thank God I didn't dent the coffee table!)
