Klippermate in case as carry-on luggage?

Anyone know if this is possible? My niece is visiting from California soon and I was going to teach her to string. And if she wanted, I was going to give her my Klippermate. The case is a little longer than a typical carry-on luggage, but I thought it may still be passable.

Why not mail it to her and set up a Live FB feed to go through the procedure when she starts stringing? You can teach her to string first then mail it to her just before she goes back too.

It's no rush, so I much rather teach her in person than on a screen. And shipping it to her was the other option rather than taking it on the plane. But looks like shipping rates have gone up a bit since my days of flipping music gear.

agree, mailing is provably easiest for everyone
have her take the heavy stuff, the drum and the clamps, should be ok with aeroplane security, no awls!!
mail her the machine and the rest of the tools

Drum = Weight?
Weight, clamps, towers and everything but the awl can be carried on board. Ship the base, leverage arm and awl.

Thinking about it, might make the most sense to pack it all up securely in the case and check it in as baggage.

Yes I took one to Australia (to restring my Australian racquets when I visit) I put a belt around it for security. I added a little bubble wrap inside the case and it was fine traveling as cargo.
