Label Maker

I wasn’t sure the best place to ask this, but I tried searching the forums and couldn’t find any existing threads. I would like to start printing labels to place on the racquets I’m stringing for people. I know a lot of people keep track of this in a spreadsheet, etc, but I’d just prefer to put a label on the racquets with the strings/tension/date so they can keep track of it themselves. It will also make it easier to keep track of when I string multiple racquets for someone at the same time but with different tension.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a label maker that works well for printing these labels? I’m assuming I need to look for one that will at a minimum allow for printing on multiple lines?

If you arte a member of the USRSA , they have nice labels very inexpensive.
Their labels have a clear cover that you place over it once you write infor. on it, and they can peal off easily for those that don't like them.

I have not yet joined USRSA. I only string for family/friends/playing partners and I do it for a reasonable cost. So I’m not doing enough volume or making enough to justify the cost of a membership at this point. I’m not going to spend $130 just to have access to purchase stringing labels lol

There’s just not enough value in a membership for a lower volume stringer like myself. I already have a copy of Stringer’s Digest, and not enough racquets are released on an annual basis that I need a new copy every year. Myself, not anyone I play with uses any of the strings from manufacturers that provide discounts to members. And looking at the free samples over the past several years, they are few and far between and nothing that I would even be interested in.

I use Dymo label manager 280 with 12mm labels.
works well for me and looks neat on the inner throat.
this is in addition to the excel spreadsheet for my own record keeping.

I use a Dymo twin turbo that is linked to my excel database. It is set up to print 2 sizes of labels, one for the racquet and one for the bags. I print their name, main string and tension, cross string and tension, and a restring date. You can print whatever information you want. The bag label has same info plus any notes, and my contact information.

Or for the super cheap among us, just a generic paper label, ball point, and, if you wanna be fancy, a little piece of clear tape over top.

i thought about that, but then again, i have ugly hand writing... so that wont look good on other people's racquets. lol

Print labels with the string name printed on top half then add the tension and date when strung.
