Accroding to Lacoste web site, this racquet was part of the Lacoste Heritage 2011 lab. Did it remain a concept or was it produced in any limited quantity?

I had been waiting for this racquet to come out. I would have liked to have bought one. I'm not sure if these will ever be put out in production or just a "lab" racquet.

Okay, the headsize is pretty ugly. And it's just too much white cosmetic. It should have been green/white not white/green!

As a true Lacoste fan, I would still buy it regardless of cosmetics but you are right. They could have done a better job with the paint job. I still have all the original Equijets and absolutely love them.

Never was intended for production, even though they announced an RA of 70. Just an exercise in design. Among mostly meaningless statements that adorn the lacoste lab site:

The purpose of the Lacoste lab is to identify and create products that could represent the future of Lacoste, and seek new materials and designs.

nice browsing if you care for design in general. None of the products displayed were ever commercialized.

Yes they were........I have a pic from May 2011 with Guy Foget holding the RL12 which is the same stick but without the compressed head.

Lacoste did have some intent to produce the RL12 and had a number of prototypes - they were planning on a 2012 release, but production cost would have put the stick out of reach of most all.

... and the retail price would be be like $399, typical for Lacoste.

Actually no. We knew of other versions of the Lacoste RL12, but never saw this one with wood grain. A graphics artist did our racket. We have several versions without the wood grain. I do like the Lacoste racket designs and I have been looking for equijets on the used market.

I'm a big Lacoste fan as well. If I remember rightly I bought one from you, in fact one of the most expensive rackets I've ever bought. You were selling lots of these if I remember rightly, it was a few years ago though!

What do you mean not worth $600? The flower alone is worth $450.
This is Chanel after all. Do a google search to see more. There are a few for sale on the auction site as well. One for a bargain $345. The original price was $899 I think and Kim Kardashian bought one for her mother. If that's not enough to convince you I don't know what will..

Chanel should've made it a 98 instead of an oversize...

I could buy the two new Boris Becker frames for $345...

She is one of the people that decreases the prestige of the sport.. besides, most of those people do it for social status. I'm glad there's no masters tournaments in LA.
