World: Isner, Raonic, Kyrgios, Shapovalov, Sock, Fritz
Europe: Nadal, Federer, Thiem, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Fognini
Tennis Warehouse: Greatgatsby, BTURNER, Bartelby, Don Lobb,

Seriously I don't think my team would do much worse. I know the 4 of us would love to have our butts handed to us on international television. Can't speak for the others but as long as Federer covers my travel and lodging expenses I will not need any other compensation.

For how badly Federer clearly wants this to succeed, I'm surprised he can't get over the Team Europe dream and figure out a more competitive setup. I loved the first edition and the genuine passion it brings out in the players is unique, but lopsided results will kill interest quickly.

Medvedev doesn't want to be involved in a dog and pony show like Laver Cup.

I have watched it a few times to get a feel for the event, but I won't be watching again.

honestly its pretty weird Roger and Rafa play it, considering they both have families and would rather spend time with them resting, considering they are pretty old. especially roger.

I didn't know Raonic still played tennis...Good for him.

But seriously, this format is beyond idiotic. If you look at the live rankings, 15 of the top 20 players are from Europe (and only one player Glasshikori is in the top 10). And this is supposed to be a competition? There is literally no speculation on which team will win since the deck is stacked astronomically in the favor of team Europe. To put things into perspective, it's like watching the 1992 dream team just dominate the daylights out of any country unfortunate enough to cross paths with them.

They need to change things up. Have Mac and Borg draft their players so it's like fantasy Davis Cup. That way the teams are more balanced, and there is actual strategy in match ups instead of just sending some poor sap to get dominated by a top 10 player.

Went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sock was clutch for the double points

But it has gotten even more lopsided.
The fact you have Foginini, Raonic and Fritz is not good for the event nor the future of tennis. Isner's stats make sense for being picked, but he is not an entertainer.

I worry for the event when Fed stop playing the event 10 years after he retires.

Yeah, they should narrow it down some. Maybe vary up the geographic divisions.

Everyone loves watching Federer and Nadal play doubles together, but watching them play doubles against each other would also be awesome, and if the overall event were closer matched it would be more fun.

It was a pathetic decision right from the beginning, now after that epic final it looks even worse. Maybe he has some quid pro quo with Federer and Federer will help him out in some other ways IDK, he certainly doesn't need the money. I just hope that he only plays doubles.

LC has really gone wrong this year. I think it had potential, but the way it is set up is so lopsided that it's become a parody of what was already almost a parody. Djokovic's absence does not help, and by now everyone would like to see Medvedev who would surely help the other team. Did they not invite him?

The ladies Wightman Cup ceased to serve a purpose when the Brits could no longer field a competitive team.

I think people underestimate the social aspect of getting together with other players and being able to do things other than compete. Obviously Nick loves this, but I think the others do more than we realize. Being part of a team is a very different feeling, even if it is temporary and more exho than real event.

Team concept tennis is a wonderful idea. But teams can be better thought out. Europe vs World isn’t an ideal concept.
