for me you can see the bottom of my knee, so its not under the knee. but its not above the knee either, its at the knee.

Though it also depends on the person wearing them. I wouldnt want to see someone with disturbingly fat and/or hairy legs using shorts of that length.

Janne, Sampras was kinda hairy...but you're right..that's the perfect length shorts..he looked really goofy when he started wearing them longer

Yeah I agree, he was quite hairy a while but then he started shaving.

In the summer I prefer a couple inches above the knees. In the winter I will wear them just above the knee. I sweat a lot in the summer and I can't stand having a little longer shorts that are dripping wet.

I don't like having my knees exposed but I'm short and I wear crew socks so I can't wear them too long.

I also don't like having the waistband right on my waist. I like the waistband of my shorts below the waistband of my boxers.

I like em barely below my knee. I try to get as much leg in there(I'm 5'6") without showing my knees.

I hate shopping.

one or two inches longer than those and slighty looser fitting are ideal. Long shorts are a fashion no-no. It's tennis not surfing or hanging out by the pool or beach.

this reminds me of this coworker i hit with all the time
he would choose the ones shown on the picture

anyway, first time we setup a time to go hit, dude is in his late 60's, shows up with cargo shorts, a little baggy, i tought ok maybe he likes does, so i think nothing of it, because they look normal, alittle above the knee type, no big deal
i start to get my stuff out my bag with him next to me, since there was only 1 bench for that court and we had to share it, no choise,,
anyway i take my racquets out and thats when he drops trouuu, under the cargo shorts he has the small azz shorts like on the picture, white in color and all, but this guy must have bough 1 or maybe even 2 sizes too small, damm things are ridiculous short and tight,,,
well as you can imagine, thats about the time when i start walking to the other side of the court, laughing my azz off internally and trying to distance myself form him as much as possible

funny shorts and all, he is still a very good counter puncher, as are most old timers who still play,,
too bad they dont update their clothing when the times change
