if you can get it moving, yes.

the microgel rad MP is just too underpowered in stock form for me. control is great but i cant get any ass on the ball. would have to do more lead tinkering.

could you tell me please is there is any different and which in case...., between the HEAD Trisys 260 OS (made in Austria) and the Radical Tour OS 690 (WITHOUT the Twin-Tube)...the very first one used by Agassi.
I supposed the first was the USA name, the second the EUROPE name.....in fact are they exactly the same or not?

Recently acquired a MIA Bumblebee 630 and with an overgrip added, the specs came out to be 343g, 33.6cm balance and 355 SW with no lead added, anyone who played with the Bumblebee before had similar specs?

Seems about right. Depends on the grip you have on there, etc. I have synthetic on one and a leather on another and they are both around 355-357g with OG.

What about the Swingweights though? Has anyone tried adding weight to the handle to make it more headlight, does it play better?

I can't manage the Zebras even with leather...but Candycane with leather grip for me are perfect balance, headlight and a lot of plow...if I can convert one in 16x19 like Murray frames could be fantastic xD

Update: I sold my deformed 260 (extremely muted) and now I hate again my new 260 (rocket launcher!):confused:
Same strings and same tension.


Im not lucky with HEAD frames.

The SW seems a bit high... does your racquet have an XL on it... or have you measured the length... maybe you got a pro stock or something that is longer and that has increased the SW... or there is something hiding under the bumpers...

The Radical Tour should be 339 SW... or around there... I don't know what 33.6cm Balance makes it in HL terms... but that number looks a bit high... On Angell Racquets that would be like 2 pts HL or something... The Rad Tour should be around 7 pts HL... (not sure about this part because I don't know what 33.6cm is in HL figures... and I've never measured mine...)

I have never measured the balance on mine... but I have a leather grip, overgrip, some weight at 3, 9 and either side of 12 o'clock... and it comes out at around 373g... but swings with no problem... seems similar to my other racquets which are around 345SW...

What grommets do they have? Old Caps?

Its standard length. I measured the SW again and there may have been an error in my first calculation. Its SW is still high, closer to 350, 348ish using the swingtool app with about a 4 pts HL balance.

Yes they have the original grommets on, uncapped.

My two are in that neighborhood too, though I have leather on mine so the balance is lower.

That's a little closer in SW... did you have a peek under the head guard to see if there is any lead tape... it's still a few points more HH than what TW has it at (being 7 pts HL)... I think I had a look around, the unstrung balance should be 31.5cm... not sure how much that moves upward when strung... I would have guessed something around 32.5cm... but really not sure... other's might know this info...

So I've got a couple of the re-issued microgel mp on the way. I was pretty disappointed to hear they don't play like the originals! But I'm hoping I can salvage them with lead.
So my question is, how much lead? Where is it best placed? I typically like head light racquets. Also, what about string recommendations? I'm thinking an 18g because of the denser pattern? Any advice appreciated.

I hope I'm allowed to post here.. I just got a virtually brand new Austrian made Head Ti. Radical MP L5 version off that auction site, and I was just wondering how this compared to the L4 version which I have read about in other threads. Thanks,

Reviving this thread.
After 3 yrs of soul searching and buying & trying out countless other rackets, I've come full circle and gone back to my trusty liquidmetal radical mp. There was no adjustment period whatsoever - like I've been playing with it all this time.
It's not the most powerful racket in my stable but no other racket gives me the confidence, control, and feel like this guy - especially on the backhand.
I forgot how easy it is to absorb pace, play defense, and counter-punch with this stick - so much control.

I think L4 and L5 versions was in i.Radical MP. Ti.Radical was only L5. Are you sure you have read about L4 Ti.Rad?

I always loved the radical as well. Started with the liquidmetal os, then youtek radical mp, youtek ig pro, grapheme radical pro, and now after I sold all of them since I thought I was done with tennis I got a grapheme radical mp. I also played for a long time with the microgel prestige mp, which I think it was my best stick.
and of course Agassi was my HERO!!!
I have a question about the radicals, if actually can be answered. Which is the better one considering of course the old models? Thanks

If you can manage the weight, Pro Tour 630 is the best, but its 18x20...I'm very happy with my Candycanes & Bumblebee...Zebra is good but it has more SW or weight and I sold them...all are Head Radical Tour MP...old ones and made in Austria for sure!! Unfortunately I can't review open pattern pro stocks ones

If you like Radicals...you can give a chance to the Ancient Dunlops, Revelation line or Muscle Weave 200G are awesome too, scalpel, you need a good technique and timing, sweetpot is smaller but they've got such a unique irresistible touch...Anderson probably plays with a 200G ancient mold & layup

honestly even if I have never tried the old ones I love them already. I'm out of shape so I would just buy one and hit once on a while just to have one of them and feel what I have been always missing ou! Oldy goldy, those seem to be the better one. I just like them!

Yeah, as it turns out it was a little on the boardy side. I remember hitting with the POG 107 @ 72lbs, so I toned it down a little for the closed pattern. Wasn't enough. Perhaps should have done 60-62lbs instead. Still a great hit. Solid frame.
