Hey guys,

Im looking for this racket or something very close to it. This racket is not the same as the regular Pure Control. Instead of being over 11 ounces, it is less than 11. Also it has a 100' headsize instead of 98' headsize. So I was just wondering if there were any of these rackets out there that someone wants to part with. Also if you have any idea about a very head light players frame that is less than 11 ounces please tell me. Thanks!!!

Yes, the VS Control is quite close in spec to the PC Team MP. The main difference is a few stiffness points. The other way to go would be to add lead to a Pure Storm. Incidentally, it turns out that the 100" headsize of the PC MP is just marketing lore...it's labeled as such, but is really the same 97-98 of the other frames in that part of the line.

By the way, even in the MP version, the Pure Control Team MP isn't under 11 ounces...it's closer to 11.5 strung. It's still a bit lighter than the regular Pure Control, but not nearly as light as you're saying. Not sure who told you otherwise.

Also, FWIW, I think most people wouldn't traditionally call a racquet under 11 ounces a "player's frame". Part of the way player's frames are traditionally defined is that they tend to have a high static weight, typically close to 12 ounces or over. So if you tell us specifically what you're looking for, we might have an easier time suggesting frames for you. (From what you're saying, you may like the Pure Storm, but it's tough to know.)

okay I want something that has like a 21mm beam width with a headlight balance of about 5 points. Does the zone really play like the Mp?

It still sounds like you need a Pure Storm with a small amount of lead added to the handle to tweak balance to your specs.

I used to use the pure control mp 100 sq. inch.It is a great stick i sold 2 to a friend+ the other on # bay. These racquets weighed about 11.3 ounces+ were 10 points headlight.

I feel that they were the best babolat racquets made, of course then they quit making them.My hitting partner bought the pure storm when they first came out because he thought it was the updated version of the pure control.

That was a mistake because the pure storm was not even close to the pure control mp.We both agreed that the pure storm sucked, he sold that piece of junk+ ended up buying my old pure controls.

Yes i checked it + it is at least 10 pts. headlight. My hitting partner still owns the 2 that he bought from me.This was the mp that came with the removable bumper gaurd, without the gaurd it is at least 10 pts. headlight.

Wait how did you measure how headlight it was. Do you have some sort of machine that measures this. The balance point is not that high for it to be 10 points headlight. My 6.1 classic was about 12 points headlight and it had a much higher balance point. ??? thanks!!

The poster is correct about the balance point being 10 points HL. It's about 32.5 cm. The 6.1 is slightly more headlight.

Tecnifibre T-Flash 310 reminds me of the PC MP in that both are 100 in. (I thought the MP head did in fact look different from the PC), both about 11.5 ounces strung, comfortable, and both have quite a bit of pop with ample control.

They are in the same general weight/balance range, although the TFlash is notably stiffer (and slightly larger in the head).
