Alu power because I think it has more power than rough. but one thing I don't understand is that according to TW string comparison chart AlU power Rough has LESS spin potential than Alu power. does this make sense ?

makes sense. Spin potential is a combined unit between string to ball friction and string to string friction. It increases with increasing friction between the string and the ball and decreases with increasing friction to itself. This doesn't mean that regular Alu Power will have more spin necessarily.

That is really weird, because the Rough was only made to give the user more spin supposedly. so Rough does not give you more spin or is this TW string chart Flawed ???

spin potential gives you a general idea of how much spin a string can give. Looking at spin potential readings, you also have round polys such as Solinco Outlast in the 6 region because they have great snapback (RPM Blast has less). Spin potential is no ideal measure to understand how much spin a string has got (in fact, it can be misleading). There is so much more that accounts to the spin than the factors taken into consideration. That is the reason why people test strings and give us feedback on them ;)

Well, they are all about the same in spin potential. ALU Power is the least stiff. 4G is really stiff. ALU rough in the middle. 4G has better tension maintenance. Just try them out.

I'd like to try them, but I'm going to spend some months at a country that doesn't have Luxilon strings (maybe they do, but for a really high price). I don't have time to test them and I'd like to buy a reel of one of these before going.

Let's put it like this: What do you currently play (string and racquet)? What do you look for in a string (control, power, comfort, touch, etc.)?
Answer these two questions and then we can narrow down what you would prefer.

Ok, thanks.
I play with the Blade 98 (18x20). One of my racquets is strung with Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.25 (black), which I really like, and the other is strung with Topspin Cyber Blue 1.25, which I do not like, it has no control. I do like the Yonex PTP, but it dies really quick.

give Kirschbaum Pro Line X 17 a go. If that is too stiff and low powered (which I highly doubt) Kirschbaum Pro Line II is just a bit more powerful.
Edit: I know you asked for other strings, but based on what you wrote, I think you'll prefer these (especially when you consider the price). Luxilon 4G will be too stiff and low powered for you and Luxilon Alu Power is notorious for losing tension and playability fairly quickly.

yeah, I noticed it recently and regret the effort I put in the posts

don't listen to the TRUE king of all trolls. he is yet to make any sensible post to my opinions. he gets mad if you tell him certain pro is using some stick he thinks is painted on. LOL

Anyway, I really had some issues and confusion about the Numbers that TW string comparison chart puts out. Many time it seem to contradict what my experience and what people are actually about spin potential of a particular string.
I think it is better to just trust your own test result of the string instead of what the Chart say. Because to me, Alu power gives me more power and More spin than Alu power rough. so this always has been very confusing to me.

Ahaaaa. So I finally get it. I have only been a member of TT for a short while, an have heard about the infamous "fedace". And at last I can finally say that I have met you. Cast away long ago, and back to haunt all of the unsuspecting members of TT. I give you credit for having such a lively and yet twisted imagination. Looool. It took our Alumni posters such as PP and Corners to bring your identity to light. Looool. Have fun.
