Main ball choice...

I will mostly be playing on a pretty hard outdoor court, so I have narrowed it down to:

Wilson Us Open Extra Duty

Dunlop Grand Prix Extra Duty

thanks for the help...:-o

Never tried the Dunlops - I'll check them out next time I go buy a new can. I usually use the better Penn ones (not sure of the exact name).

I am practicing/playing on a hard outdoor court mostly... should I get the extra dutys or just go with the regulars? (Dunlop Grand Prix)
thanks!!!

Penn Championship

I get them at Costco for like 28 USD for 15 Cans.
Great on Hard Courts.

And not bad of a price.

Penn Championships stink depending on how unlucky you get. Poor quality control, and if you arent playing on a clean court they will get pretty close to unplayable by the end of a match.

I was using some the other day because I forgot to bring balls with me so we had to go to the Walgreen's to buy some, and they were practically gray by the time we were done.

Normally I use US Open. But I think the Dunlops Grand Prix are nice as well and I prefer them myself, but some people on my USTA League team like US Open better so I get those.

If Im going for cheap, I buy the Wilson Championship balls, they cost the same as the Penn and seem to be more or less all the same.

It's so funny because yesterday I felt like buying a new can off balls and a different type so while my family was at walgreens I picked up a can of Penn Championship balls because I was low on balls. It cost me $3.69 for the can!

last week i bought some from walmart, the "Wilson Us Open Extra Duty", i got to say i did not like them at first and people have stated that same thing in this site as well, but yesterday i used a new pack since i bought like 10 cans ($1.86 tought it was an error, so i got all the ones they had and ran :)), the pack i opened yeserday was great, lots of bounce, they feel heavier then most though i guess, but most important the bounce was there, something i did not notice in the first 2 cans i opened in days before, maybe its the inconsistency that people dont like from can to can. and yes all where Wilson Us Open Extra Duty #1s.
