Refs are killing duke which is unusual. No call when tacko blocked Zion’s face on the dunk attempt, “offensive foul” on Zion, and not calling that obvious shot clock violation

The ball changed trajectory from touching the rim...obvious from the side view.

Non-call on the offensive rebound by Duke that became the GW...clear push in the back. Calls went both ways.

Thought the refs were trash both ways in that game. Let em play.

Duke's resolve was outstanding, it's a deserved win.

And they were due for some luck after Grayson Allen's rim out last year. Things tend to even themselves out in sports.

UCF Guy who missed the dunk really blew it.

They should have dribbled it out and taken time off the clock rather than going for the quick basket

Here’s Zion’s great IQ...down three he tries and misses a trey then gets the ball in the same situation on the next possession and attempts to get three the hard way. Missed the FT but that turned out OK.

Whoever gets him in the association will be set for as long as he’s healthy and they keep him happy.

You called it here. Both Duke players fouled on the free throw rebound. One hooked and held, the other pushed. Clear as day on the replay. There’s always going to be jostling but these were plain old fouls. UCF did have its chances though.

Has there ever been a Sweet 16 so chalky? Only a #5 and a #12 not following form!

Just saw this, got our answer:

Not that I can remember, but damn if these years don't melt together at this point lol.

Not a bad team in the bunch of the final 16. Any of the games going either way really won't be a surprise.
We will get as exact a read on the Zion impact in the Duke vs VaTech rematch...Hokies won a month ago 77-72 shortly after Nikegate. To me, that’s the biggest mismatch. Next would be Virginia vs Oregon and then Sparty vs LSU.

11/16 right still have all elite 8 teams left. I’m close to last in my pool but I have the second most possible points left. If Oregon beats uva I’ll probably jump a ton in the rankings I think I’m the only one who has them in the elite 8

Sorry about your Noles, Tom. Gonzaga played lights out, shooting well and all their stars had solid games.

If UVA actually starts shooting the ball well, everyone else is in trouble. I can't recall such a disciplined, game tempo controlling team in recent memory. They're like a python squeezing the life out of teams.

Big evening for me...my childhood favorite team (UNC), school I played for (Va Tech) and my grad school alma mater (UK) all in action. Bring on the Jagermeister!!!

FSU was ice cold and sloppy with the ball. Their bench was also thin with Nichols’ and Cofer’s absences so foul troubles by Koumadje and Savoy’s in-game shoulder stinger left them depleted of a normally long suit. The Zags were better and deeper but we got it down to a four-point game before fading. They earned that win with better poise and should use that quality to withstand Texas Tech on Saturday.

Great lineup tonight...will be flipping back and forth early from Fedrvalov to Sparty vs LSU. My TBS channel is out so I might be blacked out for UNC and UK games.

Auburn erased the chalk emphatically by smacking UNC 97-80...slackers let up on the pedal and only scored 7 points in the last 2 minutes and couldn’t outscore Virginia-Oregon total of 102 last night.

Upset potential, 38-34 Va Tech at the half as Duke is playing without Reddish to shoot over the Hokies tough interior defense.

Auburn’s upset came at a cost as one of their starters F Chuma Okeke left the game with a knee injury suffered late after his stellar dub dub 20/11. HC Bruce Pearl was in tears in an on-court interview after the game so it doesn’t seem optimistic he will be available on Sunday.

I had Gonzaga winning it all because I liked their OOC slate but it's pretty clear 3 months of very substandard competition hurts more than it helps. Yeah it'll get you that 1 seed but it won't prep you for March. And teams get a lot better from post OOC slate onwards.

Knee looked like it bent inward at about a 45 degree angle. So I'm guessing either a torn miniscus, torn or severely sprained acl... both... or none.

This game has been horrendously officiated

They did a good job with the close calls but some calls were really questionable

I didn't really care who won, if anything wanted UVA as I did a work pool and picked them - Gonzaga was a non bracket feeling I had pre tourney.

Chuckles O’Barkley will really be giving it to Tarheel Kenny Smith after knocking off three powerhouse traditions in NCAA history...Kansas, UNC and now Kentucky!!!

What a great way to bounce back from the Okeke ACL tear. First Final Four ever!
