Alright guys just Ibroke my strings and need to get new strings. I know i want half of my hybrid to be extreme spin which for me is solinco barb wire. i need an insanely powerful strings on my other half. Plain and Simple, tell me the most powerful string you have ever played with that is still available for purchase.

Thanks

edit: sorry i guess i should say most powerful non gut string.

Kirschbaum PL2. Not because it has the most power, but because it has the most uncontrollable power. Gut obviously has the most, but PL2 just launches balls whether you want it to or not.

what gauge of pl2 do you use? I have the 1.25 and love it. The only time i find the power uncontrollable is when i try to flatten the ball out and hit a winner

The 1.15. Flattening out the ball is necessary when hitting a good approach shot, and since I very much like getting to the net, that's an issue.

Pvaudio, I question your strategy about "flattening out' your shots for approachs. Why it hit fast? It gives the passer plenty of pace and little spin to worry about, so he can hit his best passing shots ever.
Instead, I like to employ extreme slice or a fading skidded sideways ball that stays shin height, doesn't go fast, so I can approach CLOSER to net, has wierdo spin that I don't use on groundstrokes so passer cannot tune in to it.
A fast mover is only good for a winner attempt.

I slice all approaches on the BH side. On the forehand side, a flatter approach shot gives the opponent less time and less bounce to use. A sidespin hacking slice off that wing is a far lower percentage shot which will tend to sit up instead of skid like a normal slice anyway.

I tend to do the exact same thing on approaches. Funky FH slices always end badly for me

Depends for me. If I have time to get up there and belt a 1 hander I will. Otherwise I'll slice the backhand. The forehand I'll flatten out if I have time to get there too otherwise I'll try and approach with a lot of topspin. I have a decent forehand slice if the ball gets too low.

Babolat Tonic or Tecnifibre X-One Biphase. Those are the 2 most powerful strings I have tried. BTW have the most feel too.
You did say non gut so I guess X-one.

Gut - VS Team so far until I get a chance to test out some of the new guts coming out.

Multi - Biphase X1 - nothing comes close to this for power in a multi.

Poly - Polystar Energy - soft with tons of power
