MSV Strings

Well............

We have tested MSV strings here and do sell them to our customers. Overall for me I think MSV offers a good string for the price, but what I like best about them is their ability to maintain tension (much like WeissCANNON strings) as opposed to Lux or Bab poly strings. I also think MSV has a better feel than the big boys as far as a poly goes. Just my .02

I've tested MSV Focus-Hex and MSV Co-Focus... good polys. I find their comfort a bit lower than Signum Pro Plasma Pure or Topspin Cyber Power but still they're softer feeling.

I'm about to string with MSV Focus Hex my RDX 500 mp and I'mlooking for advise.
what would you suggest;
going full poly? or hybrid?
At what tension MSV Focus Hex works better?
I bought couple of sets of 16L, also have synthetics for crosses like Gosen OG micro, some multis.....thanks

I had the MSV Focus Hex 1.18 on a frame for 6h of playing time recently (over a couple of weeks). DT reading went from 34 (after stringing) to 32 (before cutting).

just curious, why did you cut it? I guess that drop is not that bad!

Does anyone have the stiffness and tension loss measurements for Hex?

Stringbed stiffness is just a number. What's more important is the performance of the string, which is fairly subjective and only partially related to tension management IMO. In this case, the strings had stiffened up. I probably could have gotten a couple more hours out of it but I needed some fresh strings on that frame at the time.

It sounds weird but yes it does gain stiffness. So plan for that, at first for me it was too soft, then after a couple days was insane stiff.

It was an odd experience, used the 17g.

I strung some MSV Focus 1.18 in my crosses with Legend 17g mains and have to say it has been one of my favorite poly crosses i've used. I would like to see TW add this string line.

I also played with the Co focus 1.18. It produced a metallic sound that I disliked but the spin, control, power and feel were terrific. Also tension stability was good. Moreover, it is very cheap. Really good string for the price.
