By cost too much, what is your price cap?

Signum pro micronite and discho microfiber are great multis, both around 12 bucks I think. Prince Premier Attack is around 9 and is both durable and plays well. Mantis comfort synthetic is as soft as it gets, has decent playability, a good price tag, but poor durability.

Just start at the top of Mikelers list and find the highest ranking one in your price range. I have tried most of the multis and feel that his reviews are spot on.

I have tried Sig Pro Micronite and it is good but Volk Power Fibre II at $12.99 is better for me. Better durability and just as good or better in every other department - spin, control, feel. Also, a reel of V PF II is $159.99 which is a decent reel price. MicroNite ghosts easily when stringing and it just doesn't feel as well made as the Volkl PF II.

For under $10, AlphaGut 2000 is a good multi but the durability is not quite as good as MicroNite or V PF II. If you plan on using it as a cross with poly mains, this may be a better option as crosses wear as fast as mains.
Bab Addiction is good too but again durability is not very good.

Well i wanted a good multi for around $9 or fewer if thats possible. How does Mantis comfort Synthetic play? and is it worth it?

If economics is an issue, I think you should go with Prince Premier Attack. Not only does it cost $9.50/set, it lasts as long or longer than any multifilament I know. If you have to pay for shipping, check out Discho Microfibre also because it might cost less when you factor in the free shipping.

It is low powered and you feel a thud when striking the ball. I like it, but many locals who were injured tried it and did not like it. If you are string breaker, it won't last long at all.
