Murray backhand too predictable

He goes crosscourt with his BH nearly all the time, even when there's lots of room DTL. I've noticed his opponents are often camping in the BH side waiting for it. When he does go DTL, it's nearly always a safe shot played without conviction. The powerful BH DTL used to be somewhat of a signature shot, albeit one he never used enough. It's like the contagion has spread from Djokovic to Murray. Or more likely, Murray decided to play exactly like Novak but just try and be better at it. Something which failed him miserably in several AO finals. Did Novak and then Murray decide that the BH winner DTL is not a percentage shot and therefore decide it's best to mostly phase it out their games?

Yh he hardly ever hits a BHDTL winner these days. His CC is solid but Yh, he doesn't go DTL as often as he used to and never goes DTL with any conviction.

DTL is more risky shot. It performs over the highest part of the net,requires perfect timing and execution.
Djokovic still play a lot DTL , It is not necessary for each to be a clear winner.
Murray I think always played CC more than DTL.
Both are out of form ,Djokovic in his worst form in 10 years, and ofc their BHs weakened too (note that both had shoulder/wrist/elbow injuries )
