I'm just devastated beyond words!!!!!
Sure sounds more like he isnt even going to make Wimbledon but if he could that would be the last event
unfortunately he is not able to control how he wants to end his career since he is ending it due to injury, i hope at the very least he can end it where he wants to. i almost feel like there is no point to playing AO and then he can just rest up, play wimbledon and hang it up
Whoa! I was already down and very sad after Ferrer retirement and now this Murray news has me downright depressed . Heard he cried in his presser today as well. Can someone share a link to it please?
Andy's tearful presser.
Although very sad to see him go, he has achieved the impossible and he had reached the pinnacle of the sport. and he will be remembered as best Tennis player England has ever seen and they will erect Monument and Statues of him. So he should have no regrets...
Besides now he can explore that professional Gaming world and if he is really as good as he saids he is, he will actually make more money in that than at tennis.
This is the BEST thing for Andy Murray. Stop being selfish just cause you want to see him play. Andy should stop playing this month. Do not play til Wimbledon. That is the BEST thing for Andy and his well being. We only want the best for Andy Murray.Have a week without posting on here as a kind of minute silence for Murray's career.

I had the same reaction when I saw the headline and read this. Actually searched it up in several places. This is a shock. I hope that his injury does not end up being so bad it affects his non tennis life.Shocked and saddened. I still can't believe it, keep thinking it's some kind of bad joke, but it's backed up by multiple media sources. I feel gutted for Mainad and all of Andy's fans.
andy was crying cause his entire life had been tennis and it is over now. that is why he is crying, not because his pain in the cheap chair. but he will find something else to do, I am sure. Have you called me Genius Master Sir yet ? I am waitingYes Andy was only crying because his hip was uncomfortable in that cheap Aussie chair.
I want the best for you Nostie, Andy is doing ok, he still has his hotels and contracts. The break will do you good.
He will evolve into a great commentator and still be part of tennis. That's small consolation now, but he will always be involved in the game.
Also, pray for @MainadIncredibly sad but perhaps the right decision so he has a better quality of life with his wife and daughter and any future children they have. He’d make an excellent commentator and I hope to continue seeing his hilarious posts on social media. He will be sorely missed.

even i feel sorry for murrayRight now my heart is breaking too. Although I fully expected it it just never quite prepares you when you hear him say it. I'm just devastated beyond words!!!!!
Federer outlasted him despite being 6 years older
As far as I am concerned, Murray did it to himself! He saw a chance to overtake Nole for the #1 ranking by overplaying at the end of 2016! He entered every event possible when he admitted his hip was in pain! How stupid was that? Was it worth it to hold the #1 ranking for a few minutes? He hasn't been the same since! I have nothing for him since he's supposed to be a mature, thoughtful veteran! Roger wouldn't of tried such a thing then or now! It just wasn't worth it in the long run! I think he could have saved himself if he hadn't gone to that ridiculous defensive style allowing no-names, nobodies, & never-weres to take him to the limit playing 5 sets from the 1st round on like at the '16 French Open! It just made no sense to me seeing as he dominated Nole in the final in the 1st set! He was toast after that; worn out from playing 30 yards behind the baseline and getting run to death! Idiot!
