Two things have helped me out tremendously!
1) If I take my socks off, I can count to twenty.
2) Nowadays I don't recount all of them everytime I get a new racquet.

Well, I'd say I'm a collector who plays with many different racquets. This past spring I played eight matches, won seven (low level...), played with 16 racquets.

Nope and nope... I had contracts when I coached, but that's it.
Ah cool. I guess coaching and having a contract is somewhat related to working in the industry...
How do you decide which racquet to purchase?
I see a few Rossignol in there so I assume its mainly 'classic racquet' or are you purchasing the latest Blades/Prostaff (or insert Racquet series of choice) when it comes out?

Well, I haven't thought about it in terms of me being in the industry, but I guess it's correct.
To begin with I bought a lot of racquets that I thought were good value for money, not really having a plan. Then I discovered the TT boards and got a lot of inspiration from here. In some cases I wanted to get specific models, like a "stars'n'stripes" from Wilson, or a Prince Mono. In some cases I went for series, like Dunlop's Max-series or Rossignol's F-series.
Yes, mainly classics, mainly graphites from 1980 - 2000. I try to keep up with the Radical and Prestige series, and to a lesser extent Völkl 10-series.
Million dollar question: If you could only keep 3 (or 5) racquets which would it be?

Obviously a pretty tricky question, but I'll try to reply.
One would be the Snauwaert Hi-Ten, that took ages to find. Another would probably be a pro stock Head PT10 Liquidmetal paintjob. A third could be the Prince Precision 640, autographed by Andrei Medvedev. Maybe a regular Dunlop Max 200G Pro, because it was the first racquet I really started to look for, and turned me into a collector rather than a guy with just a bunch of racquets.

With this many racquets it's impossible to have them all restrung. There are quite a few I haven't played with yet, but if there are decent strings in it I don't bother changing them. I had a contract with Völkl for a couple of years, and my go to-string was the Power Fibre, so that's what I used a lot. Another string I used a lot was the Tecnifibre TGV. I really liked the classic hybrid Babolat VS/Luxilon Big Banger.

I remember the most impressive racquet collection I ever saw in pics, the guy had a house full with racquets and tennis memorabilia, with a US Open, RG, Wimbledon and Aussie rooms with the racquets (don't know if they were original or retail) of all winners ever, from the wood era, that collection was called Alamocrest, this collector was a a guy from Texas, if I remember correctly

I have around 40 racquets now, I aim to 80's and 90's classics like Mr Lagaffe, but nothing that can be compared with. I'm from Portugal, and tennis is not a bit thing here, so it's hard to find good stuff at affordable price, but sometimes miracles happen.

Those folks from NW Ohio or C-Bus may remember Shottensteins/Value City Department stores and the huge number of European racquets for sale in the late 80s. Donnay, Rossignol, and Snauwaert. Had no idea and/or never saw these brands before. Saw the Hi Ten and several Major racquets. All for $10-30 bucks.
