As it his birthday thought it would be nice for the world to bow down to his greatness and celebrate the greatest achievement in the sport, winning 3 Majors on 3 surfaces within 6 months of each other. Add to this he is the only player in history with more than one Major on each of the 3 surfaces and we are fortunate he still has the hunger to play as he has nothing left to achieve in the game.

Rafael Nadal, we all salute you sir. Happy Birthday from the world VAMOS.

I personally believe that it is the second greatest achievement in tennis history, right after the 6-0 6-0 against Tomas Berdych by David Goffin in Rome. Add to this Goffin is the only player in history who managed to lose against Dimitrov twice in the same tournament (beating fedal along the way) and we are fortunate he still has the hunger to play as he has nothing left to achieve in the game.

Worth noting Wilander also won multiple titles on all 3 surfaces, although Nadal's is more impressive since he won Wimbledon for his grass slams (Wilander won the AO on grass twice, but never made it past the QF at Wimbledon). I would also disagree that his 3 consecutive slams in 2010 is the greatest achievement in tennis. Surely 4 in a row is better, right? Even if it didnt include the channel slam.

Regardless, what Nadal achieved in 2010 was incredible. To everyone who said that his body wouldn't last and that he would never really threaten Federer's record, he proved them wrong. And he has more than proved he's not just a clay-courter. He beat prime Federer at Wimbledon and the Australian and beat prime Djokovic at the US Open. Rafa is an all surface champion
