Nadal and U.S. Open and Year End #1

If Nadal loses in or before the fourth round of the U.S. Open, and goes on to be the 2013 Year End #1, he will set the record for fewest Grand Slam matches won by a year end #1 in that calendar year.

I think he loses in the QF or SF of the US Open and then does nothing the rest of the year. Highly unlikely he'll be YE #1

If Nadal loses in the 4th round of the USO, he'll have a 10-2 record in slams for the season.

In 2000, year-end #1 Kuerten had a 9-3 win/loss ratio.

What were Federer's stats after wimbly last year? Just curious

We are talking only about Grandslam matches...In the question I asked, its about the last 4 grand slams

That's his grand slam W-L record for 2012 post Wimbledon. If you want to include US Open 2011, which makes no sense because this thread is about calendar year, then it's 22-3.

 I dont get what exactly you are asking?
Federer 17-2 From AO 12 to W 12
14-4 From USO 12 to W 13.

There you go Federer was 14-4 and was crowned No 1 when Djokovic was 25-2.
So what do you guys think, did Fed deserved the no.1 with bunch of Masters? Was he lucky to beat Sampras record of no.of weeks at no.1?

So you don't even look at the stats and pass your judgement. 14-4 is USO 2012-W 2013 record. Do you even follow tennis? Go to cricket forums and spare us. Fed was 22-3 for USO 11 to W 12. Plus he had WTF. The most prestigious tourney after GS. While Djokovic was 25-2. Pretty close. A case very different from Rafa-Djokovic.

You are the one who took out 14-4 up from your ars*e. And Ferrer was 22-4 in 2012..What rank does that deserve?

I clearly stated the period assuming that someone is not blind.

Another wrong stat. Ferrer was 18-4 in 2012. You first watch some matches, get your stats right and then talk. Or argue within your Bamos army. I won't respond anymore.

Fedfanaticisanartist is really on a roll lately with trying to play down what Nadal has accomplished this year. Pathetic poster.

Why do all of your threads involve statistics presented in a way designed to promote Federer or tear down his rivals? I'm a Fed fan too but your posts have been ridiculous for years now.

Please learn to read. Fed was 22-3 (in the period of question, when Roger ascended to #1 after Wimbledon 2012).

14-4 is for a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT YEAR (2012 to 2013)...and the poster even dated it for you to see. Again, learn to read before posting.
