If you could choose only 1 non clay slam to win before Nadal ends his career which would it be?

AO - double career slam
Wim- first person open era 3 surface champ
US - tied for open era record

Why would anyone choose Wimbledon over AO and USO? At this point another Wimbledon title will not add anything to his legacy.
AO is an irrelevance for Nadal. Least prestigious slam still even though its my fav to go to. USO would mean a record for Nadal but W is the most prestigious slam so i can understand why people may say W

Being outright in 2 slams say he somehow managed another 2 USOs would be mammoth. I believe Borg is the only man to hold this distinction in the open era being the outright leader at one stage in 2/4 slams?
Nadals 4 USOs shut his haters up for good. USO 2019 for me was his biggest slam. To have the record would be such sweet icing

Plus it’s the most prestigious of the slams tbh

For me all slams are equal. If Federer's best slam was RG we would be hearing that it is the most important slam.

I think the players were asked this question in 2010 werent they? A poll was done and it was 1. W 2. FO 3 USO 4. AO.
Certainly i remember someone saying endorsement wise one Wimbledon in a year is better than winning the 3 other majors same year. Think 1988 was cited. Edberg had all the attention despite Wilander bagging the other 3

Yes probs but even so it has the history oldest tournament, same location and the same continuous surface.. But I agree Fed fanatics would argue black and blue it’s more relevant is the shoe is on the other foot..

That player poll is interesting 1 Wimby and 4 AO is obvious but between FO and US is razor thin, back in the early 90s easily the US due to the American dominance - Agassi, Sampras, courier etc

I'd go for the AO, for the dcgs. Then Wimbledon, because it's been very long since last time, and the 3x surface slams. Last would be the USO. It would be cool for him to share the record there, but comparing to the other two, other than the overall gs record, it wouldn't add much when looking at all the slams as a whole.

3 Wimbledons wouldn't do anything for his legacy? Just 1 more Wimbledon (or AO) title would do more for his legacy than 5 more RG's.

It's not on the list and is 'a clay slam', but I'd vote for the French Open. It's the next one and would give him 21. From there it's all gravy. He's not getting any younger.

Why USO (4 titles already) over Wimbledon (2 titles)?
Because if he wins 1 more USO he will tie the all time record there. On the other hand, what big records can he beat in Wimbledon? No difference between 2 titles and 3 titles there.

And Djokovic can win 5 more AO and it will not do anything to his legacy compared to 1 more FO or 1 more US Open.

In that case, does that or will it diminish what Nadal has done/continues to do at RG? No, and only insane person would say otherwise.

You contradict yourself so much because of that crazy hatred you have towards a tennis player. Think about it.
