Nadal post presser AO19

Why wasn't Nadal crucified for this but Djokovic whatever he says gets witchhunted, even when he says he got destroyed? Whole pressconference here Nadal is struggling to formulate to not come across as a bad loser that he lost cause he wasn't 100% and he didn't have enough matches and talking about prior injuries. What the hell? This is on the same level as Feds presser in 2011 but nobody says anything cause the way Nadal talks is "adorable" and doesn't come across as grumpy. But I guess he was just being honest, or something like that?

Did Nadal tank that match? No I don't think so. He got deflated after that first set when he realised that his level wouldn't be enough to beat the Novak of that day

Novak was expecting a easy walk in the park against Sonego. But that wasn't the case and Sonego came all guns blazing. Now here Novak didnt have the motivation to go through another grind given that he had already achieved what he came to Vienna for.

The thing is, he should have avoided that statement in the presser. The media and the world are waiting for these tid-bits to scrutinize him. And to answer your question, No, Nadal wouldn't have been pulled down half as much as Djokovic was.

There is nothing new with this...majority of folks don't like Djokovic, they love Nadal and Fed

to all fans of tennis lets be honest all good tennis players are not good losers although some try there best to make it look that way, that's the truth for most professional tennis to be honest

The biggest point about post 2017 Nadal that everyone misses is this: There's a big big reason Nadal used to play excessive defense and his offensive stretches lasted only few tournaments or months

Nadal naturally doesn't like playing offensive. And he will always fall behind Federer and Djokovic on that front.

He can't defend that well anymore and plays more aggressive than ever hence Federer and Djokovic have run him ragged on non clay surfaces.

Especially Federer, Miami and Shanghai were big examples of Rafael trying to outhit but simply getting outplayed himself.

For those saying his run to AO 2019 F was awesome, so was his run to 2019 WB SF. He looked omnious and Federer looked little off upto that point.

But in both AO and WB as soon as he met Federer and Djokovic he was reduced to medicority

Simply because Rafael's aggression these days don't come with the same movement of 2010 and 2013.

In 2019 F two things happened: Nadal thought way too much before the match, he was nervous beyond himself, and Djokovic played awesome

The odds were 55-45 in favor of Djokovic, go figure. Nadal was in amazing form before the final. Got butchered.

People just never learn that Nadal is a sitting duck for Djokovic at the AO at this point.
