One more game for the Spurs, hopefully it's not going 7 games. And then, Spurs versus Heat again. Joey Crawford shouldn't be allowed (if) for the Spurs versus Heat game but he can if it is OKC versus the Heat.:)

i'm confused ... NBA accused DS of damaging/lowering the value of both his franchise and the entire league with racist remarks published by his GF ... but rather than the damages claimed by the league, it seems that both the clippers and by extension the entire league have actually increased in value since the VStiviano illegal recording was made public!

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer agreed to pay $2 billion for the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday, which stands to be the most ever paid for an NBA franchise.

The person, who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly, said Shelly Sterling had a signed contract with Ballmer that was sent to the NBA for approval. At least three-quarters of the league's owners must approve the sale.

The person said Donald Sterling does not have to sign off on the agreement because he has been determined to be mentally unfit to make decisions about the family trust, which owns the team with each spouse having a 50% share. The trust spells out provisions and procedures related to the trustees' mental capacity, and an expert determination was made about Donald Sterling that left Shelly Sterling in charge of the trust, the person said.

But if sterling was allowed to to continue to own the team and be part of it the long term effects would have greatly hurt the league. Sponsors were bailing and players were seriously contemplating no-showing a playoff game.

If they get Danny Greene to 10-20 pts a game Spurs will probably win it, we know these series one guy from the bench make the difference. Shane Battier or Ray Allen for the Heat side.

Hmmm? What do you mean?

As in I support Kevin McHale? Or I sound like Kevin McHale?

Speaking of KEVINs, I think KEVIN Love should leave the Wolves and find greener pasture someplace else. Like KEVIN Garnett, it would seem a championship is not on the horizon, if Love sets sail now to a contender, at least he might get a ring just like KEVIN Garnett did!;) Nothing against the wolves but I watched each year--during KEVIN Garnett's tenure--they are bounced 7 straight years in the playoffs. Something's musn't be right with Flip at the championship level?

Remember Flip and the 2006 Pistons. The inmates run the asylum.

One minute to go, SAS up by 2, and you miss 4 FTs in a row? C'mon Spurs, that's not how a championship is won!

You know about Mc Hale a whole lot.I agree with your posts. He was a brain dressed in basketball pants.

When you started a move that virtually EVERY NBA offensive minded player uses, the up-and-under-move, you've got to give him the respect. And as a tennis player, like we all are, I have an appreciation for all things footwork.

I also liked his competitive spirit. He wasn't dirty, and always classy, but he didn't take s*** from nobody.

And when he was an analyst for TNT, he was hilarious!

I personally believed 'Sheed was it for the 2004 Detroit Pistons. 2006? 'Sheed never even cared to do his pre-game ritual. In short, they don't respect Flip an iota.:-|

Make or break for the Big 3!

I'm just happy Ray Allen added one more ring. Garnett and Pierce should've followed RA with the mid-level cap exception for another ring!;)

Its easy to say that. But how many people actual go from Pierce and KG level to actually accepting role player minutes. Its a rarity. Ray Allen skill set was also perfect for that transition.

I dont know how and Pierce and KG cuold have felt like they were a big enough part of a team to gain any satisfaction from it.

Kevin Love going to Golden State at the expense of Klay Thompson, David Lee and a future first round pick?

Maybe LBJ and Love should go to the Knicks and ship out Melo and co.?:)

'' Riley said he has met with all three players over a two-day span this week and relayed that he and team owner Micky Arison are willing to do "whatever it takes" for them to move forward and contend for championships for several more seasons. ''

" I think everybody needs to get a grip," Riley said. "This stuff is hard. You have to stay together and find the guts. You don't find the [exit] door and run out of it. "

Don't think LBJ is sticking around until the Miami H(b)eat is ''overcooked'' to leave. Get a grip Pat, when LBJ leaves, it will be hard for you (It's on you; not whatever floats your [sinking] boat.)!:)

I don't like the shipping away of Klay Thompson, and damn it Warriors, stop deconstructing your good team. You already fired the ONE coach that turned the franchise around with a breath of defense, don't ship away one of your budding stars.

I liked Kevin Love a lot but that kind of trade and bartering is not going to advance the Warriors any farther.
