Just noticed the "Black Granite" at the top of the hoop. Actually, perhaps a bit too much Fischer referencing. I wonder if it's a transitional thing or if this is part of their long term marketing approach.

In the throat says Fischer Technology.. more like an alliance/ fusion operation than buying a company

Black Granite on the upper hoop.

Fischer Technology (on the bridge, actually)

Speed ++ Zone on the side, just above the grip, was Fischer marketing as well, I believe.

Looking at the buttcap view, the abrupt taper of the beam is really noticeable about where the grommet set ends. Was that a characteristic of the Fischers (magpro) as well?

Yeah it looks the same as my MPro One. I think all the crazy Fischer graphics make it less noticeable though :)

I wish I knew. Many of us have asked TW in the "TW Questions/Comments" section but they don't seem to know yet. They responded promptly to our questions, but unfortunately they didn't have an answer for us.

I think the fischer brand name is a good one in the racquet industry. Much more so than pacific so using as many fischer references as possible makes perfect sense to me.
I am happy fischer racquets will still be available.

Thanks nabybdjan. I got it from the big auction site.

The paint scheme looks really great compared to the Magnetic Pro series and the later M Pro series. I'm almost afraid to use it because it is so shiny. Maybe I'll keep it in the bag for a while and then take it out after a year or so...:)

nice Fischer racqet there frekcles! the black granite series looks great IMO

haha, i dont blame you because i usually cant bear to play with newly brought racquets- in the end i will buy 2 and keep one in the cupboard

yeah i saw the black granite M comp in my local shop before and the cosmetic is much nicer than my magnetic M comp.

btw off-topic - i'm going to order the flexpoint prestige team grommets to cap my Head Classic Midplus, hopefully it is not too difficult to do so :)

Patience, a heat gun or hair dryer, an awl, and some very thick thumbs are all you need. :)

Seriously it's not hard. Start at the shoulder and work your way up towards the top of the hoop. The key is to heat up the grommet, make sure it's soft(er) and then work it in with an awl.

so does anyone know if the mold for any of these new Pacific frames is similar enough to my Fischer M Comp 95 for the grommets to fit?

I'm getting pretty desperate for grommet sets for my M Comps, and was just wondering whether this was a possibility.

thanks!
