Paintjobs for us?

Is there any way that a mere amatuer tennis player could get a paintjob on a tennis racket from a major company (for a fee of course ;) )? Just wondering.

For a fee, anything is possible. You could, at the very least, take over the corporation and, if you wanted, make for yourself a paintjob with purple dinosaurs on it. For a slightly lower fee, you could have a baby with a tennis-playing prostitute, put the kid through training with good coaches, and after he get enough leverage, have him get some paintjobs for his parent.

Why not just have it sprayed at a body shop? Go to someone who specializes in custom paint work. There are plenty who regularly paint onto carbon fiber so it should be no different than your racquet. Just make sure they understand the stresses and amount of flex inherent in your racquet. Just an idea.

the thing i dont get aobut paintjobs, is how does a player, no matter how good, know that they desire a custom made on of a kind type of racquet. how did federer know that 85 inches isnt enough, and 90 is too much, but 88 is just right. also, how does he know that weight, balance, handle leanth etc. . . are perfect for him. i can understand that a racquet just feels better if you put some lead on it, or the right kind of grip, but to say im gonna like it better if the frame is a bit smaller, say o. . . 2 square inches less? i think thats rediculous. is he just that much more perceptive than us?

well i would say they might have made a couple of moulds with different sized heads and let him choose since he knows his balance and weight and if it was not right then they would put lead tape on until he liked it then made the next rackets to the exact specification
