Players complaining about Karlovic serve?

Anyone know of any other players who have complained about his serve, stuff like "this is not tennis", etc... They're just venting their frustration, but I still find it amusing.

Did anyone else get as much flak for their serve? Goran, Isner maybe?

How about Djokovic in their 2015 Doha match iirc? Towards the end of the match, Novak played his own service game in a similar manner to Karlovic's brand of serving and volleying - this was a major departure from the way he had played the rest of the match and it was Novak mocking Karlovic because he couldn't get a look on Dr Ivo's serve.

Towards the end of the match, Novak played his own service game in a similar manner to Karlovic's brand of serving and volleying - this was a major departure from the way he had played the rest of the match and it was Novak mocking Karlovic because he couldn't get a look on Dr Ivo's serve.

Oh yeah, that semi tank service game, didn't he 2nd serve volley as well? Ivo is the man, think Novak did not get a look at a single BP that match. No words were spoken, but you could see he was frustrated.

Federer is something like 15-3 in their TBs. Ivo's game is a double edged sword in TBs, he's around 50%, whereas Fed and Isner are around mid 60s. I think it's more to do with his game than mental.

If you hate playing him, do some practice with him and do a practice set so you can get used to his style of play and figure out strategies to counter it. I'm surprised he was snubbed like that at Quito, I would expect numerous players would try to get some hitting with him as soon as possible.

I don't get why would anyone complain about Ivo's game. He has a big serve you can't return, get over it. Jesus. It's not like he deliberately tries to throw his opponents off by doing unnecessary sh*t like other players I'm not gonna mention. As long as he's playing according to rules, he can beat you with whatever style he wants and you can't say one word against it.

You're right. The match was a 3rd round qualifier which Karlovic won in straights. As it was not a main draw ATP match that may be the reason why the ATP doesn't include it in their official H2H although I tend to think they should.
