Players that give no rhythm

Tommy Paul said before his match against Ruud that he wanted to give Ruud as little rhythm as possible. A player who does this regularly is Bublik, but are there more players with a play style like this or are we really in a era in which everyone just hits hard from the baseline?

Medvedev is a clear example.

At any rate, giving no rhythm is not the same as not hitting hard. Power players that pull the trigger early don't give rhythm either.
You see him as a player who gives no rythym? I see him more as a player who keep on hitting deep. I agree that a player who doesn't give rythym plays with a lot of power on some shots but then is able to hit a dropshot on the next point

I think it's arguable either way. I edited the post.

He gives no rhythm in the sense that his rally ball is deep, low spin and hard to attack. He also tends to slap a flat ball to finish points. Also, good servers give less rhythm because of all the short points on serve.

When I think of players that DO give rhythm, I think of someone like Thiem.

You can give "no rhythm" by:
Having a huge, unplayable serve.
Going for broke from the ground - tons of both winners and unforced errors.
Longer rallies with lots of variety and/or creativity.

For example, it doesn't necessarily make him better, but Alcaraz gives less rhythm than Sinner.

Giving rhythm = engaging in extended neutral rallies, especially if there's little variation in trajectories/heights.
Well described. Not giving rhythm in my mind consists of combining fast and slow shots, long and short balls, drop shots and lobs, slices and topspin. I think a very good example is Mannarino. Also very effective on a good day is Gaston. A nightmare to play against.
