Hi I'm just looking for feedback on which type of racket would suite me. I've never used Babolat frames before. I would describe my playing style as a baseliner with an aggressive first and second serve. I would rate myself as a NTRP 4.0

I'm looking more towards the Babolat Pure Storm Orig. or GT version or GT Tour

I have a budget of $400 and Im looking to try and get more than one racket.

I currently use a wilson ncode ntour.

Whats your weight/ height. Do you like the weight of your current frame or are you looking to add more weight in the next frame?

No it doesn't produce spin like the AP... The design of the AP and the open pattern, even with poor form will give you more spin than any frame with an 18 x 20 pattern. More open pattern - larger space between the string - imparts more spin on the ball.... Have you hit with an AP?

These sort of threads...

Honestly, no one can tell you what racket you will like. I hope that you won't just buy off of recommendations. Save some money, and demo a few, then make your decision. Your opinion on the actual racket is, of course, the most important.

Honestly... Why not just get 3 more of those...? -.- It's what you're most comfortable with. I doubt I'll ever really change rackets, because what I played most of my tennis with my current racket, and have grown VERY comfortable with it. I can't imagine playing competitive tennis without it.

I'm very much in the same boat as you, going to try college club, 4.0 baseliner, willing to invest in two new racquets that will raise my game, and even the current racquet. (I use an ncode ntour2)

Since the ntour2 was 27.25 in length, I've enjoyed hitting with extended racquets, such as the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT+ (27.5in), and am planning to hit with the Pure Storm GT+ with the same length since they're cut from the same cloth per say. However that's just a personal preference.

My best advice would be obviously to utilize TW and its forums to its best capacity, but as Chanto mentioned, the only way you'll know for sure is to go through the demoing process. Demo a good mix of tweeners and player's sticks if your capable. The jump in weight from the ntour2 to ones I've demoed has been the most important change I went for, ranging from 11.7-12.2 ounces. After that its just a matter of how well you think the racquet suits you and your game.

I still see some very good players using the head lm radical and the specs match so I would say check one of those out.

Of course i have hit w a APDGT or i would not offer an opinion on it!

Bottom line is we all know tennis experiences vary from person to person, i gave my personal experience and advice based on that experience, wasnt that the point of this post?

And just fyi the racquet w the most spin potential i have ever used was the YTK Rad MP.
