Hi I'm just looking for feedback on which type of racket would suite me. I've never used Babolat frames before. I would describe my playing style as a baseliner with an aggressive first and second serve. I would rate myself as a NTRP 4.0
I'm looking more towards the Babolat Pure Storm Orig. or GT version or GT Tour
I have a budget of $400 and Im looking to try and get more than one racket.
I currently use a wilson ncode ntour.
I'm very much in the same boat as you, going to try college club, 4.0 baseliner, willing to invest in two new racquets that will raise my game, and even the current racquet. (I use an ncode ntour2)
Since the ntour2 was 27.25 in length, I've enjoyed hitting with extended racquets, such as the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT+ (27.5in), and am planning to hit with the Pure Storm GT+ with the same length since they're cut from the same cloth per say. However that's just a personal preference.
My best advice would be obviously to utilize TW and its forums to its best capacity, but as Chanto mentioned, the only way you'll know for sure is to go through the demoing process. Demo a good mix of tweeners and player's sticks if your capable. The jump in weight from the ntour2 to ones I've demoed has been the most important change I went for, ranging from 11.7-12.2 ounces. After that its just a matter of how well you think the racquet suits you and your game.
