As a prelude
Let's discuss:
1. asthma and playing outdoors in heat index
2. playing outdoors in heat index, for folks without asthma, is it horrible for you as well?
2. vaccination and impact on asthma folks/athletes

I am 46 in the body of what would appear to be a fit/slim 35 year old?
5'8 140 lbs, I'm lean, not a big frame
non smoker. 30" waist since high school
asthma all my life. 63% lung capacity normally.
typically play all out, aggressive style, 4.0/4.5 tennis, never have had any issues with stamina.
play 5-10x a week. NO issues in the winter indoors or spring outdoors, until.....
.....getting the 2nd vaccine, Pfizer, in April.
playing indoors rest of the month, in good conditions.
I really feel like my lung capacity became a lot worse than normal.
then....
....summer arrived
no change, I had been ok, but not 100% as I was before the vaccines.
then heat index arrives here in Philly.
I'm playing in 90 degree sun/heat this week, with heat index of 95-100
playing 10am through 3pm, high sun - not smart, but the main times I can play.
It's been horrible. I miss the spring.
I hit some drills and feel ok, not great. then I start playing sets and by then, I'm feeling like poop.
I have to really conserve energy when I can. And I can't go very long - at a high level. I'm so sad about this.
I get in the car and realize that my face is read, not from the sun, my system is mad at me..
Is it primarily the asthma, I guess? My system must be working very hard in normal conditions, with only 63% lung capacity.
Maybe these conditions are not good for me and I should stay indoors when it's this bad?
