I am wondering if anyone has tried this product:
Pojie Racquet Performance Extension
The 4 user reviews I found online were all positive; they look like a more modern power pad. Anyone?

For what it's worth, I have them on 6 of mine and my wife's rackets now and we both like it a lot. Be mindful however that they'll add a little bit to your racket's weight as well as change the balance.

If you have a denser pattern like 18x20 you may end up with 4 Pojies at the throat, but with 16x19 pattern you'll probably have 3 only. So 4 Pojies will add a little more weight than 3, of course. I personally don't mind the added weight but some people may mind it more.

I tried them out a couple of time a few months back. At the time I was really searching for the right string and tension after a layoff. So, I'm not sure I had the best focus to give them their due shot. However, while I don't remember anything specifically wrong with them, they didn't really make any difference to me. I probably should try them again now that I have a better foundation to judge from.

Best setup to know if they make a difference for you or not is if you have 2 identical rackets with same string and tension. Then when you restring one of them, add the Pojies on and now you can have a clear A/B comparison.

I googled pojie and the tt thread was the first hit.

I did not google that though, I goodled: "Pojie Racquet Performance Extension Talk Tennis" and it did not come up with anything TT. Now it is showing this thread, but that is because well that is essentially the title.

Thanks, they look like a good way of making the mains on a racquet with short mains (VCore Tour 89?) longer.

If you try to google "Pojie string extenders" you'll find the older/longer TT thread on it.

Yep, for sure. And that's why they're dubbed "string extenders". But beside making the mains longer, they also have that rubber core inside that helps provide more pocketing on those mains that are on the Pojies.

yeppers! just to recap my response there...

i put these on my wife's racquet because she's got chronic arm and shoulder issues (and i also got really tired of her dropping everything short ). she's hit with them about a year now and she likes them quite a bit. there's no more "my shoulder/ arm hurts" after hitting and i'm not sprinting like a madman into the court because she dropped something short (as much ).

pojie "recommends" a new set every string job but we weren't sure that was necessary on the old thread...

Originally they said you could probably re-use them for a few restringing before they lose their performance. Of course they want you to buy a new set for every new string job but I personally would try to reuse them at least a few times until I don't think they're effective anymore first before I put in a new set.

I have them for at least 8 of my rackets and my wife's rackets now.

I've reused them on restringings and they still work just fine.
