Just assembled this rack this morning, got another one to assemble soon. Should be able to store my 50 some rackets.

How you like the Mid?
it is a great racquet. I've added leather and silicone. I'm not sure on strings for this just yet but so far RPM Blast, TierOne Durafluxx, and Volkl vSquare/Ghost work well. I wanted to see if a round poly would work but it doesn't seem like it for me. It's a moderately tight 16m racquet giving good control and spin. Feedback/comfort/feel is great

Nice, I just bought one off someone on here and can't wait to use it. I'm sure it's much softer than my Rev Pro but still, full poly in a 93 was way too harsh for me.

I'm stringing these polys at 45#. I used Rip Control and that was very comfortable.

I've had my years of raquetaholism. I cured myself by not visiting these forums for the last few years. To be honest, this is overkill, I actually only need one racquet.

What grip size are those HM 300G? If you're ever interested in downsizing, would be interested in them.

So I swapped out the replacement grips for these two first with the Syntec Team that replaced the Skin Feel. Was a bit skeptical at first when I read up a few on forum here suggesting it was bad quality etc. Definitely not the case for me. Didn't rip or tear etc while installing (and I go back and forth a lot). Feels good quality and on par with Skin Feel.

Had three left so put them on 3 more:

Have ordered 6 more from TW and will put them on rest of my APDs now. They feel pretty good. I do a tight wrap of overgrip on top but these have the right combo of bevel feel and cushion that I like. The thickness is just right for me. Have gone through over a dozen of these sticks and my palm hasn't felt this comfortable gripping the handle. They all eventually do compress and mold to the hand but right off the bat, these felt good. Will definitely get a good recommendation from me.

Nice. My Pure Storm Tour GT circa 2009 say hello. Similar 62 Flex. I don't use them regularly anymore but great frames.

Didnt know Bab made a tight pattern and low 62 flex racquet.

Do they have any plans of doing that again? I know the current strike are 18x20 but very high flex (for my preference). Never understood why they didn't make some low flex

Yes, this above is a 16x20 pattern however I think their flexiest was the Pure Storm LTD. It was a 95 sq in head size, 18x20 pattern and high 50s flex. Very control-oriented, low powered player's frame. I owned one that was 56 flex measured on RDC. Very anemic though and the super low power just didn't suit my game. Pure Storms pictured above have the same mold as older Pure Controls but softer layups.

Not sure about Babolat's current plans however I don't see any indication so far that they will be heading in that direction. I really don't think they have the need to either. They are in a very good place right now with their PAs and PDs.

Agree with this. That said I hear/see evidence at the club where I play that they lose sales on the Pure Strike to the v7 Blade and Gravity/Speed and now the Princes because of the lower flex ratings. There’s been shift that way in the last 12-24 months away from just lines of stiffer racquets. Kids leaving their PDs and APs for the Clash 100 too. Things are cyclical, like the softer polys now coming out, and Babolat ought to see that they need to give us a line that has a lower flex, more consumer choice like Wilson and Head cater for with their lines. My Storms are sublime so they’re very capable of making that kind of racquet.

Your Storms looks fantastic, btw.

Good post & I think that another softer flexier line won't hurt them.We have this same discussion here on the forum every now & then. That said, we all have our anecdotal evidences which are more base on a personal account & aren't really a true representation of the big picture.

For example, purely from anecdotal evidence, all the pro shop owners/managers I have chit chatted with said that while Clash 100 (& Gravity from Head as well) sold in very good numbers, Babolats still outsold them by 2 to 1,in some cases by an even higher margin.Rec crowd loves their Babs & everyone wants in on that.

As far as college tennis is concerned kids I have two kids who play Division I & a big majority of kids are still using Pure Drives & Pure Aeros (even some Strikes) & every team has more Babolats than any other brand that I have seen in our conference.I see a lot of Blades, no Clash all of last year (NCAA canceled all remaining matches for this season).

Blade has always been a good seller for Wilson & really popular on the college scene particularly. In the rec scene, the Clash 100 is def on top for Wilson & when it was launched I saw it in the hands of most club mixers & rec league players especially older ladies but then it sort of wore off too. All in the last year.Taking the throne from Babs is no easy ask because they have been basically ruling the tweener realm for a long long time now & I know friends who just went back to their Babs and Head Speeds (even the prince Phantom 100P) because they just didn't like how the new tech felt and couldn't get used to it.

From a marketing perspective so far like you said trend is for a softer offerings but I believe if Babolat felt they could sell more of a soft racquet (its a business at the end of the day afterall) they would come out with softer offerings as they indeed have the capacity like you said. But they haven't which tells me they are okay with how things are heading for them and they have crunched the numbers and done the math.Even the latest unreleased Pure Drive due to come out in a few months my Babolat rep tells me is 72 RA unstrung.Something tells me they will sell those like hot cakes too.

Anyway, of course, that is all just my experience & definitely a small exposure to the bigger picture.

And since its a pic thread, here is what i think to be a GOAT Dunlop racquet for everyones viewing pleasure :)

I like simple things, like a Klippermate, and frames that are not too popular - Dunlop/Slazenger

I've had a Klippermate for 3 years now and it has never let me down. Still takes me a little over an hour but I can't see anyone getting much better without fixed clamps and machine tension assistance. I sometimes think of going bigger with an expensive one but I only string for myself and the wife, so this does the job just fine

I've had my klippermate over 14 years! Still strings a great racquet. Takes me a bout 30 min per racquet.

Finally added this beauty to my Dunlop 200 collection... Aerogel 4D 2Hundred... nearly mint condition for $20. Gorgeous stick.
