Hard to predict how Medvedev is gonna do, we don’t know whether his crazy 2019 level was a one time thing or something he can pull off consistently.

Such a tough player to evaluate. His top level is pretty damn good and he seems dedicated to improving. I really expected him to win the USO and frankly he should have won two of the three sets with Thiem but lost in straight sets. It really could go any direction.

Nadal Double RG Calendar Year Grand Slam.

I will be happy if it's Tim fluking Djokodal back to back to win USO.

He'll do well on the 2 HC slams. His quality is so bad on Grass and Clay, It'll take a few years where he develops there

tbh I find it hard to call winners, so I'm gonna say this:

Will reach a GS semi for the first time:
- Rublev
- Shapovalov

Will reach a GS quarter for the first time:
- Ruud
- Felix

No way. This guy can’t even beat Tiago Monteiro without choking.

I think Nadal will make a big, big push for the Australian Open, and I don't see Djokovic as a lock to win it. Nadal probably needs to avoid him in the final to win it, but I feel like if someone like Tsitsipas, Medvedev or Thiem meets Novak before the final they can eliminate him. And Nadal could beat any of them in a final.

AO- Nadal
RG- Nadal
Wimbledon- Djokovic
US Open- Thiem/Nadal

That’s the same for nadal though. This year thiem showed he’s turning into a bit of a monster on hard court, nadal was well beaten at AO, then followed it up by finally winning a hard court slam. Back nadal over the other two mentioned though.

While Thiem is obviously a big threat for hardcourt slams now, I wasn't impressed by the level and lack of clutchness he showed in his US Open final with Zverev. Nadal in decent form would have beaten him easily.

So while Thiem is a threat at the hardcourt slams (and he did beat Nadal in Australia), I don't see him as someone that would have an edge over Rafa in a slam final, on any surface.

AO - Djokovic
RG - Nadal
Wim - Djokovic
US - Djokovic

^ this was extremely difficult to predict - I feel it'll either be Djokovic with 3 and Nadal 1 or 2 apiece. Obviously, Federer will be back, and I don't doubt he will go deep in a few of these. I feel the big 3 will get 3/4 of these majors at least, with perhaps Thiem nabbing a 2nd major - I can't see anyone else getting a W when Nadal and Djokovic are in the draw, not to mention if Federer is too. I was extremely hopeful we would see more this year from Garin, Ruud and such up and comers at RG but their performances have made me realise they're probably years off from deep runs there.

AO - Osaka
RG - Swiatek
Wim - Serena
US - Osaka

^ highly unlikely as the WTA is so erratic, of course! I reckon Azarenka may take the AO but gotta go with Osaka based on the past few years on HC. Of course, Kenin and Andreescu will feature, as will Halep and wild players like Mugu. It will certainly be interesting to see if Gauff can make a QF or SF. I think Swiatek is set to win multiple RGs - it's time someone held such form at RG as Henin did (not comparing their game styles but I mean status alone). I think this will really be Serena's last chance at a major - many think she is past it already and I understand why, but I'll pick her for Wimbledon nonetheless.

* Thiem will reach, and lose, all 4 finals, but will win the year-end Bjorn Borg Best Butt award. Book it.

Thiem will possibly have a let off next season as he has worked hard to get his slam but often the season after is the hardest one.
Nadal and Djokovic are still way ahead of the rest. However more players will fancy playing Djokovic. Yesterday will have made Nadal near mythical on any surface to most players. It was brutally magnificent.

Strange things can happen but to really think Fed is favorite even in Wimbledon is wishful thinking. He is nearly 40.if he is 35 or something I would still give him some kind off a chance.

Tsitsipas will defeat Djokovic and Federer in succession to win Wimbledon

AO: Djokovic
RG: Nadal
W: Djokovic
USO: Nadal (I want to pick Tsitsipas or some random new winner but I don't trust any of them)

The first 3 slams I'm 99% certain of.

As usual, overreaction to the latest news. Since AO, this year has not been normal and little can be predicted from it. The US and RG draws were lacking some significant players - at RG especially it cannot be denied that Djokovic and Nadal had easy draws. Fitness and form were more variable generally.

An unrelated observation: Djokovic is not popular with women fans and spectators. For this reason he will - rightly or wrongly - never get the GOAT label (which is meaningless anyway).
