Prince TT100P players, how is your racquet setup and string setup

Hey fellow TT100P players, I love this racquet and play it stock form.

However I sometimes struggle against hard hitters, so I wonder if you have any tips for me regarding racquet modifikation.

I play multi strings at around 22kg (48.5 lb) and gut/multi at 24kg - I can string low on this racquet and still get ok control. The multi I play right now is HDX Tour.

What is your favorite string and tension for this racquet.

Thanks, Toby

Hey Toby,
My TT100P’s are in stock form currently, except for a leather grip grip, covered by Wilson Comfort overgrips. I used one with a little TW Tungsten tape at 12 , but found that it effected the maneuverability at net too much for me. My favorite string setup is Solinco Hyper G 17g mains, and Prince Tour XC (yellow) 16L in the crosses, both at 48lbs. Great balance of control, power, and comfort. One thing I tried recently was; I found a cheap used TT100L, then added silicone inside the handle, a bit of tungsten putty on the inside of the buttcap, a leather grip, and TW tungsten tape at 12, and 3/9, for similar balance to the TT100P, and just a half ounce lighter. The weight distribution is more polarized and the string pattern is more open , so it actually feels more stable and I get a bit more easy power and spin from it. I currently switch between them, depending on who I’m playing now. I’d probably start out by adding some TW tungsten tape at 3/9, if you feel the Racquet needs more stability and plow through. Best things about Tape, super easy to remove.[emoji6]

Hey Josh

Thanks a lot, and very interesting with the TT100L I might try it out as my son have a frame.

Cheers, Toby

Hey,
can someone give me a gut/poly combination with string tension for the TT100P, so thats not to powerfull but not to hard in 18/20. Is Revolve a good choice for cross in this frameor Head Hawk?

What could be a good tension start point for fullbed Cyclone Tour 16 and fullbed Ytex Square-X?

Thanks for help!

I play the 100P stock with an over grip and love everything about it. Can’t think of any weaknesses - controlled power, open 18x20, stability and soft feel. Love the new white limited edition that Pouille is rocking at the mo.

My favourite string job is a full bed of Hyper G at 51 lbs - matches up well with the open string pattern. Very comfortable in the low 50’s, great spin, control and durability. Admittedly a poly junkie and have order some Solinco revolution 1.30 to try in it as well - loving Solinco polys.

I have also tried a hybrid of Alu power and Sensation in the past and that was super plush - great feel. Just preferred the extra spin and control with Hyper G.

I use Hyper G 17g at 48 lbs in the mains, and Prince Tour XC (yellow) at 50lbs in the mains. Love it. I’m actually going to try dropping the crosses to 48 lbs too, next time.

Felt I could lower than 50 - will try the Revolution at 48 and see what happens. Interesting combo - what do you like about it the most? Must look good to.

I've just been using it with Lux Alu Power and Tecnifibre Syn gut I find the syn breaks at the same time as I feel Lux loses its magic @45lbs

Anyone got the 2019 model yet?
Wondering if anyone would string it differently than the previous model.

I’ve been playing it with a gut/poly hybrid vs touch/hyper g at 52lbs. So far so good. But I’m itching to try a full poly at 45lbs

Welcome any thoughts. Thanks

I’m itching to try a full bed poly. But with my sensitive elbow. I’m thinking of doing a tension of 45lbs.

Hybrid and the frame is helping my elbow so far!

Mine is stock with Hyper G 17 @50 mains/OGSM 17 @52.
I own a Gosen OGSM 17g reel. What's your feedback with this combo? I've already played with full Hyper-G with Yonex DR-98, this solinco string gives excelent control, but It is little stiff.
I'm deciding which string goes with white OGSM at my Whiteout 100p.

I tried Luxilon BB original and I liked the touch of the racquet but did not have much power or spin, now I use the Prince XC16 and touch is worse unless you hit in the sweetspot but spin and power has improved, I want to try Hyper G to compare
