Been using the 2019 Pure Aero Plus for the past 3 months and have been playing the best and most consistent tennis ever at a 5.0 above level. I’m a Former college player, 5”10 so not that tall, this racquet after some heavy customization has allowed me to dominate against bigger and harder hitting players with ease. Biggest factor for the switch was the easy controllable power on serves and volleys. Groundstrokes could hit at any pace desired and huge safety from spin. Great for super aggressive tennis style while being able to change from defense to offense on the run.
Current modded specs:
Unstrung weight: 330 grams 11.45 oz
Swing weight: 340
Balance: 7 pts HL
Grip: Babolat Leather grip (+ overgrip)
String: RPM blast 17g 55lbs or luxilon savage 53lbs
Added about 10 grams of tungsten putty in the butt cap with a leather grip. and 5 grams of lead at 12 o’clock. Making the racquet super head light really benefited me with the added swing weight, making it faster and quicker to swing through the air. Lead at 12 o’clock helped for extra stability near the top due to the 27.5in extended length.
