Racquetball racquets?

Dear stringers,

I am a new tennis racquet stringer. I've been stringing for a couple of months and love it. I have a table top drop weight stringer and it works just fine. My question is, can I string racquetball racquets with this stringer? If so, are there any special considerations that I need to be aware of. My owners manual doesn't have any information about stringing racquetball racquets. It has a little bit about badminton but not racquetball. Have any of you done racquetball racquets?
My stringer is an Eagnas Challenger 1. It has accurate tensioning and the clamps hold just fine. Please help! Thanks.

Check out the Racquetball Warehouse forums and do a search on "stringing machine" (for starters) and you'll see quite a few hits. That forum doesn't get near the traffic as the Talk Tennis forums here, but the discussion on stringing there is about the machines and tools that are good for racquetball racquets. I'm not really familiar with the site's content (I've scanned through it), but you might find some useful info.

You can. I've found that tension accuracy decreases the closer the weight is to the fulcrum. You might want to use a calibrator to check the accuracy at those low tensions before starting.

More racquetball racquets

Do you have to buy the smaller (badminton) clamps to string racquetball racquets? I have strung only tennis racquets to this point, but my freind is a racquetball player and was wondering if I could string his racquet. I put an older racquetball racquet in my stringer and the clamps are to big for the edges of the racquet.

Any help out there? Thanks!
