Rafa is putting in the ground work early

Ye3ah, just when the umpire seems to send an early message "we are not having your on court antics" from the get go he lets him have a timeout that was over the limit before a freaking tiebreak. He has no class as a player. He is and always will be a cheater......

LOL, I'm torn on this one. While I'd love to see the big 4 make it to the semi's, I also wouldn't mind seeing Del Portro on the comeback trail take it to him. However, if Nadal does goes down (IF), I hope he does it with diginity, instead of an injry excuse.

Del Potro had a severe argument with the umpire about Nadal in Spanish. Only thing I got was 'tiempo' - time-wasting was maybe the accusation against Nadal.

when was it?

Actually in the first set nadal was warned about time wasting by the umpire and delpo walked and talked to the umpire saying that it was ok, that it didn't bother him.

But when the ump gave nadal time out for injury after the 6-6 delpo complained that they should't have given it before the tie break

The tie break wasn't decided until the 14th point of it. With that in mind, are you trying to make out that Delpo's double fault was somehow a consequence of the injury time out 14 POINTS EARLIER?

If so, LOL.

Haters gonna hate.

is there bad blood between them?

I've heard the commentators say a couple of times that both guys were eyeing the chair umpire and each other.

I know there is an awful lot on the line so it should be a bit testy but I'm wondering if these two have a "history"....

Anyone know?

As far as i know there isnt any bad blood between them but Del Potro is really mad because Nadal took all that time for an injury that is now non existant and Nadal is mad because Del Potro was complaining about it and calling him a liar. He actually told to the Umpire:" He is lying". I personally agree with Del Potro, there is no way that you claim to have an injury on an ankle and then 5 minutes later you are running and changing directions like nothing.

They worked their magic Del Potro as well or didn't you notice him taking a MTO in the middle of Nadal's service game. Barely able to walk and then comes out serving bombs and moving better than he had all match.

Was it tit for tat, after Rafa had taken his? If so, that's sound game theory on Delpo's part.

Did he take it during or after the game. I thought it was after the game but I coiuld be wrong..

MTO's are allowed "during the next changeover or set break." Nadal asked for his before the tiebreaker.

I think Delpo's MTO was actually during the game.

It was a medical determination to make sure he did not have an acute injury that would put his health at risk, not really a MTO called by Del Potro.
