The only ones not giving RBA a chance are Nadal and Fed fans

I reckon most Novak fans are really nervous about this match

Neutral minds know Djokovic will bag the win. And it won't be hard. Fans are by far more emotional and less rational when it comes to these moments.

He plays patient and doesn't go for too much too soon.
I think this is the problem with Djokovic's opponents when they get too trigger happy.
RBA was very patient in his last wins over Djoker this year, and I guess that's kind of his style, hence why hes had some success.
Also when I watch Djokovic, he isn't firing winners every game. A lot of his points are patient buildups, and opponents mistakes. Hes not going to fire winner after winner on grass.

Yes, this is all easier said than done for RBA, but im surprised so many people have already put Djokovic in the final. This is a guy who Djokovic doesn't ever put away easily, and they've never met on grass I believe.
RBA will go in with confidence, and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise ever if he pulls it off.

Am I alone on this?

I agree with you that RBA needs to stay with Novak in baseline rallies, as Zverev did in the WTF final.
Another key is RBA serves well and Novak has an off day on serve. Novak is so hard to beat because he is in every service game of the opponent's.

I knew some wouldn't have understood.

The most unpredictable means that no other player would put up a better fight against Djokovic on grass than Bautista Agut at the moment. Even if his chances are still low.

If Murray was in form, I would say that the best semifinal would be Djokovic-Murray.

Djoker will lose. And by lose I mean he will win three straight sets.

I’m not surprised if some will misunderstand my definition of lose.

I could have just said Djoker will win but that would have been clear.

Wow you are desperate for that Nadal free ride to the title Haha

Nothing jittery about it. It was claimed that Nadal should fear Kygrios and Querry as they've beaten him in recent times.
Theres nothing crazy to suggest that RBA can beat Djoker for a 3rd time on the bounce.

I still favour Nadal versus either of them anyway if hes in the final.

It feels like mainly Nafal fans talking up Kyrgios as proof that Nadal had a really hard draw. The difference is though that Nick did beat Nadal at Wimbledon, RBA has never defeated Djokovic in a slam.

Plenty of people bring up Dvaydenko having a h2h lead over Nadal and Nadal fans always point out that it doesnt count cos none of the meetings were in a slam

Thats just VB gymnastics. Mueller leads Nadal 2-1 at Wimbledon, which is of course a slam... h2h in general isn't as important now to VB since Nadal has a losing one vs his main rival too and wen't losing 7-0 7-0 to him VB gymnastics. If Nadal wins WTF finally it will suddenly not be an exhibition

Always the way. I'd be handwringering a little if it were Fed. But then your guy is a far more consistent hitter as things stand, so his baseline level (see what I did there) should just win, really.

Well I give RBA a ~6% chance to beat Djokovic which is pretty close to no chance, but I sure as hell don't want RBA to win the SF.

Wow. Thanks for sharing.

What a legend Pistol Pete is. First video: That backhand overhead volley smash and the point from 3:05. OMG. I don't know if anyone in the current ATP could do that.

Yeah the goalposts always shift. If Nadal wins this semi vs Fed, the 2-2 will prove he's better on grass but no mention of losing H2H vs Dustin Brown for instance

Gumby will be in full stretch tomorrow boys. Rba is a good sport but how much experience does he have on this big stage compared to Ultron?

imagine this...rba plays smart, patient tennis, upset of life over novak. fed/nadal is a war, fed comes through in 5. rba cleans up fatigued fed for wimby title.

Rafa did have the hardest draw of the 3. The draws collapsed a bit for both Djokovic and Nadal. I think Nadal will win this tournament, he is playing at championship level and is hungry for it! :)

I think the biggest thing that can trip up Djokovic is over-confidence and I have seen him lose in the past due to this factor. Not saying it will happen tomorrow but I want Roberto to win so badly I certainly hope so! :) I really want an all Spanish final on Sunday! :)

No.

What you want is a Nadal win. Having Bautista in the final increases Nadal's chances.

Nadal played a very fatigued Thiem (four days in a row) at Roland Garros. Djokovic rolled over a flat Anderson in Wimbledon last year (almost 7 hours SF).
