My reasons for tipping Rafa to win the AO next year is that he is very much a confidence player. If he turns up to the AO next year with two slams under his belt from 2019 and possibly the # 1 ranking he may just do it. I'm also curious as to how serious Djokovic's injury troubles are (maybe not serious at all but time will tell).
Anyway, we'll see what happens, I may be wrong but in those 'predict the slam winner' threads, I was 4/4 in both 2018 and 2019

A totally identical slam repeat never happened on the men's tour, probably not the women's either. Not even during Big 3 era is it at all likely.
Rafa never defended a HC slam. Why would he do it aged 34?
And no using Canadian Open as an example, it's not a slam.
I.e. you have to change one of your winners.

Its what Nadal does. He makes records and shuts people up. More people say about USO defending curse, more likely he is to win it. Time and time again he proves people wrong.
You are right about Major repeat years never happening but never before have the top 2 been so far ahead of the rest as Nadal and Djokovic are.

Sure, but never have they been more prone to injuries.
This is a key reason why a repeat simply isn't likely. At least one slam one of them will skip due to injury or retire from, or both might.

Nadal probably will too, but I think by 2021 Thiem will have a genuine shot at the aging bull. Medvedev nailed on for a slam next year. As long as Medvedev/Zverev/Tsistsipas dont win at least ONE slam, it's kinda hard to put their names on the favorite list. Thiem deserved to win the USO but we can't deny the fact that Djokovic/Federer/Nadal were all out for different reasons. It's NOT an asterisked slam but for me not significant enough to say he will win more slams soon. If Djokovic and Nadal play USO and the winner is Zverev or Medvedev (or someone else), I may change my mind.
Realistically Nadal is still favorite for RG 2022/2023 and Djokovic favorite for the other 3 slams.

I was pretty close - except for the F.O predictions in which I got the wrong year for Novak. So all slam totals were correct except Nadal's.This prediction was actually pretty close

You could say that change in schedule helped Nadal a lot,because he had so much time to get ready for RG, as he skipped whole America tourney, and Djokovic's disqualification helped a lot on mental plan

2022 maybe but not 2023 for me - almost 2 years hence with Nadal showing definite signs of decline this year. Maybe he will prove me wrong but I think he's 50-50 to win RG 2022 and I really don't see him winning it in 2023.
