We were told with Dimitrov, Raonic, Nishikori, Tomic, Young et al to just wait a few more years. Well, we've waited and they haven't delivered. I'm sure one of the young guns will step up to the plate eventually (maybe that's what Medvedev is doing now), but I'll wait until I see some results before declaring Tsitsipas or FAA the next ATG

Interesting tidbit; In 2016, Medvedev was disqualified from a challenger match against DY. Bjorn Fratangelo beat Jared Donaldson for that title

A corollary (kinda sorta) for "not writing off young players" is "not overhyping young players".
If people stop hyping young players I am sure there won't be a need to write them off anyway.
For every written off player who finally made it you can show me I can show you ten who were hyped to finally make it and they never did.
