..at winning a major. What do you guys think? His performance today was very strong indeed. I think if he works hard over the offseason on his volleys and consistency, he has a decent chance of winning 1 in 2010 (similar chances to Murray and Djokovic).

I don't think its a sure bet (in fact, I would probably bet against it), but it's definitely a possibility.

I think it is a definite possibility. I think Jo-Wilfried Tsonga can win a major too. I can't see Andy Murray winning one. I think Djokovic will win a few more before his career is over.

Yes I agree.If he remaind the new Sod and doesn't go back to be the major chocker he was,then yes he got very good chance to go on a roll and win a GS!Kom Igen!

^^^ Agreed. I do like the way he played the ATP Finals. He really let loose and made the most of "playing with house money", since he wasn't really supposed to be there and the pressure was on the opponent. His confidence is really high right now. Can it carry over?

I think his chances may even be higher than Murray and Djokovic.
While he will always have less consistent results than them, I think when he is on fire (like at FO) he is almost unbeatable. I haven't really seen either Djokovic or Murray reach that level of performance (maybe Djoker in AO, but Tsonga kind of choked in the final).

So he needs to catch fire at a major. He managed to make the final of the FO, his worst surface. Imagine what would happen if he did it at USO!

I think Soderling is in a little over his head out there with the big boys and I think he'll be a big flash in the pan by this time next year. Just my opinion.

I think he'll inevitably come up against the big boys(Fed, Nole, DelPo) and lose in the QF/SF/final of any slam. He just doesn't have that extra gear necessary to win it all.
